Am I correct that the 2008 PT's don't have a chrome grill? I am a big fan of the grill for the 06's and 07's.

As far as I know, none of them came from the factory with a chrome grille. If you mean the chrome edge trim, I have seen two of the 2008 models and both had the chrome edge trim on the grille.

I was at a Chrysler dealership getting my oil changed .So naturally I walked around looking at the new cars. Did you know that Chrysler is charging $1,000 extra for air on the LX Models. Do you think they would sell a PT without air. ?

 Hi Jim.If that is the case with the "New Chrysler" not only do I think they would but I also believe that the PT will be DOA in 2009.I think it is a done deal.............Mike

As I recall air has been a $1,000 option on the base model (now the LX) since 2006. And yes the built a lot with out air. A gulf state dealer had something like 20 of then a couple years ago. This is not a new owners deal.

We have a base model 06 convertible and Air was standard (no Charge).

True, but it has not been standard on the base 4-door for several years.

I know when I bought mine in El Paso in 2005, they had 4 models on the lot without air. I couldn't believe that!

I do mean the chrome edge on the grill but when I went to the dealer yesterday I took a look at the 2008 and none of them had chrome on the grill.

Hi, Out here in So. Calif...they're blowing new PTs out the door with AC/5 speed for $10,500.00....after rebates not one, but all that are equipped at this price..I bought my 06 base with AC/Auto for $11300.00

U are right! all the chrome inserts are painted the body color! I think the chrome looks WAYYYY better! But I saw 4 PT's at the dealership in Fairfield California w/ no chrome
