2 mods I'd like to do Air Intake and Lowering Can't Post

Got some advice to ask,
So from what I’ve been reading on these posts is two mods to make on my 2001 PT Cruiser Limited Edition would be A: PT Cruiser Airaid Intake System Non Turbo as I have the 4 speed automatic and B: Lowering my suspension PT Cruiser Lowering Kit - Eibach.

What I’d like to ask for is want advice you can give me on these two mods. More so on the second (B).
I don’t know too much about cars, so I guess that’s why I find it hard to believe that adding these lowering springs will make such a difference. How Low should I go? Can I keep my stock shocks and struts or do I have to change them as well? What else do I need to know? My ride is and will be used every day I live in Quebec so we get some bad winteres LOTS of snow....

Any help or advice you can give me?
Thanks Ray

You can go with the Airaid but i don't know if you really want to lower it in Quebec with all the snow in the winter. I've been in Montreal many times during the winter and your are right when you say "bad winters, Lots of snow". Wave

CoolHi I have a 01 Limited Edition PT since 2002 and I strongly recommend the Cold air intake because you will discover a much better gas pedal response. As for lowering I personally do not think this is a good idea for two reasons.I live just outside of New York City which is famous for car eating potholes.A lowered PT hitting these massive craters is a bad thing.Next there is winter with that thing called snow.I like being higher up when going in the snow. You get way more snow so I think you would like being higher up too.Al the best.....Mike
