HI OLD SCHOOL, Who else is coming from Nebraska besides me or can you say? I feel like taking out a personal ad in every paper in the US- single woman with PT seeking a Nebraska person with same- just for brain picking. Think it would work? I have secured a job and still have to find out if I can have time off in Sept. I will tell them I already have reservations and hopefully it will be approved. I will send in my registration ASAP and get my motel room. I can not wait to meet you. I better wear a Cornhusker tee-shirt or would I be back-balled by you and the rest of the Sooner state. Just think it will be football season as well. GO BIG RED!!!! MICKEY ---------- 2005 ELECTRIC BLUE CLASSIC Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. CRYSTAL, I may need her email! I should not have a problem, wish my new boss would let me know soon. Can't wait to get my reservations in. OK, my fantasy is to meet up with others driving down in one of those caravan things. I saw Corvettes one time on the way home from Vegas. When do we know who is coming and make arrangemnts to meet along the route? I know it is a long way off to start planning time and spot but when do you do all of this? I will be passing right by Wichita, I believe. I was planning on leaving from here the 6th of September and coming back the 10th. I can not wait. This is so exciting for me. I was never, ever interested in cars before. Now this is all I think about. I am going to my first car show next weekend, it is a Mopar street car one but Chrysler cars, so maybe some PT's. This one is only 30 minutes away, then June 16, I will go to an Iowa afternoon rally for the Iowa club and probably join- since my daughter lives in Coucil Bluffs- I would be able to attend some meetings). then the big one in Sept. How fun is this? Mod fever has hit or maybe already has. I am ordering some moon hubcaps that Mike, Cruiser RN, told me about. He has been the biggest help to me as has everone. You are all such lovely people. Anyway, I wanted mag wheels but a little pricey plus I want to see them on the car's before I invest that kind of money. Also my son is into me getting real big tires for it and I know nothing about doing this. He has modified a Suzuki Samari that is very uncomfortable to ride in. It has huge tires, looks a bit strange to me. So excited to meet you and everyone. You are all like movie stars to me. Mickey PS, I wish now that I had chosen a real cool name like you all have- Poison Ivy. Yours, Dream3. I guess you use your car's name, wish I would have known that. Oh well, thanks for writing. ---------- 2005 ELECTRIC BLUE CLASSIC Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means that you have decided to look beyond the imperfections

Hay Crystal is Poison Ivy coming to the show? Sounds like we will need a bigger parking lot at the back of the Best Western after the show to visit like we did at Eureka Springs. so don't pack up the chairs you might need them that night. ---------- http://community.webshots.com/user/davidrs100

A few additional items have been updated on the site. http://www.oldschooldesigns.com/MWUSAR.html If you are a PTCC member, we hope you will support us in order for this event to be the best in the Mid West. If you are not a PTCC member....well, you are invited to attend and have the best time y'all ever had at an event. Then we will talk about you becoming a full fledged member. ---------- Old cruisers never die, they just go down a different highway. _________________________

I have received several private messages inquiring as to who is coming and what vendors and activities will be at the event.... so I am posting some additional info on our PTCC site only. If you came to last year's event, you know firsthand we try to offer things to do that are fresh and new. We must be doing something right, since others are trying to copy some of our methods. Since our event is always after Labor Day (and other events for eight years in a row) we will be not be listing too many activity items ahead of time. A list of clubs and individuals registered, along with vendors, will also be available on the event site at a later time. In doing these things, we are trying to maintain a "new" event for our guests to come to each year. Boring...is, well, boring. We try not to do the same old thing....year after year. In fact, our event staff will be adding one full day to next year's event. Remember how fun it was for you to go to an event, and not know what to expect? Well, step back into time.....and have a blast. Y'all hear?? ---------- Old cruisers never die, they just go down a different highway. _________________________

I have been asked if PTCC membership was required in order to attend the Mid West USA Regional...and the answer is no. Our event is opened to PT Cruiser enthusiasts and novices both. We have many attend without any type of club affiliation. If you have never been to our PT event, you are missing out on a fun filled time of cruiser camaraderie. I will warn you in advance though....if you attend for one time...you'll be back. For those that are interested in finding out more about the PTCC, or a PTCC chapter, we will have information available at the event. ---------- Old cruisers never die, they just go down a different highway. _________________________

Answering additional questions received: Yes, we have a couple short cruises planned on Friday for anyone wishing to go. Yes, we have the same professional DJ as last year...so you will never hear the same tune twice during the event...unless specifically requested. Yes, music from '44 to '64. Hey, we're cruisers...right? Special "items to do"? Yep, but I can't tell the public just yet. We are not trying to keep anyone in the dark about the event....well, except for those that jumped the gun with OUR ideas at THEIR events last year. ---------- Old cruisers never die, they just go down a different highway. _________________________

The setting for the event is a beautiful 56 acre city park. The park is very car rally friendly, with plenty of on grass parking available if you want. Plenty of shade, indoor restrooms, picnic tables, hard surface walking paths, and many other amenities are provided as well. We will have several of our club event staff members available to help you with parking and other things. Bring the entire family, or just yourself, and plan on having a great time. ---------- Old cruisers never die, they just go down a different highway. _________________________
