APC Altezza TailLight Lenses (Photos) Can't Post

Hello, I bought my APC Altezza TailLight Lenses from www.CustomAutoParts.net and recieved them after the first of the new year. I am very happy with them. I had no problems installing them and had both on in about 5 minutes. Its really simple! I took some pictures of them from close to far away shots so others can see if they like them or not. I have them on a Patriot Blue PT Cruiser and they look great! The chrome matches everything such as wheels, door handles, badges, Chrysler logo's, front headlights etc. See for yourself! I hope I gave you guys and gals some perspective on these pictures! Oh, if your curious I have a WingTech Spoiler on, Xexon Side Kirts on, Window Visors (stuck on window seal, not paint!), bumpers painted, and a Blue Carbon Fiber Dash Kit - 27 piece, (not shown).

That is awesome! I might just buy them..

If you could, do you think you could take a shot of it at night, with and without the brake depressed?

Do they "bubble" out on the lenses... What I mean by "bubble" is the plastic has been contoured to come away from the rest of the lense on the bulbs section... Kinda like the headlights on the Mercury Cougar's.

Do yours have the same fit problem? By the way....awesome pictures!
I ordered some from them, but they kept telling me it be another 2 weeks.....they did that for 3 months. So I cancelled with them. Got them from ptcruiserparts in 4 1/2 weeks.

Thank you for all your comments. I'm going to answer all of your questions now. Oh by the way guys and gals, did you notice I had a link underneath those pictures? It shows the ground effects and more views of the taillights and would probably answer your questions - Just FYI.

Doppelganger: Here are some night photos with the brake depressed and pressed. On one you'll see 4 red lights, thats because I had the flashers on along with the lights. Enjoy!

More night pictures here:
http://webpages.classicnet.net/Airnate/ptcruiser/taillights/night/

Bennybone: Yes they do, if you would click on the More Photos link underneath, you would have seen a perfect example of what you are talking about. Either way I'll repost an image here for you.

SlAcKeR: Mine fit perfect! Had no problems at all, they are snug all around. I bought them from www.CustomAutoParts.net

Capt Pat: Again, if you would click on the More Photos link above you'll notice I have included some pictures of the Xenon Side Skirts. I'll repost here for you.

Maybe they sent a bad batch to ptcruiserparts...anyhoo.....thanks for posting all those great pics....really enjoy looking at other pt's.

Notice- when looking at yours and mine and most likely everyone elses they have a white type silicone around the edges to prevent moisture from getting in....if you look at pics from the sema show this is black which gives it a much nicer appearance. Wonder why they did this. Oh well....I could always take them apart and reseal them

I think the black around the edge looks much better than the white also.

Well, it looks like someone beat me to the punch as far as posting pics of the Altezza's on a Cruiser. That's cool, at least PTCRUZN's car was clean when he took them, unlike my pics would've turned out. It seems that PTCRUZN & I have similar cars with the painted bumpers and carbon fiber dash kits. Perhaps this is my sister car? I would say so.

PTCRUZN,
Nice light Covers.

What caught my eye is that you are from Arkansas and the amount of SNOW that you have there. What's whith that ? does it usually snow in the Southern States like that ?

PSK260, yes I think this is your sister car. I always thought your car was similar to mine too big brother!

Marc, well actually it doesn't snow alot in Arkansas, however I'm in the military and was visiting my parents home in Iowa when I snapped those photos!

I can already see it now....

Those "bubbled" out areas are magnets for people to push on and see if they break... You know the type of people who get a kick out of key'in peoples cars...

Anyhow I like the pics and I wish your PT the best of luck.

Thanks again.

my pics are getting developed soon, did your lenses come with a gasket or something to keep it from moving?

Eric r, no they didn't. They fit nice a snug though. I heard there are some problems with a batch of taillights they sent out from PTCruiserParts.com Did you happen to get one of those? Maybe that is why yours is loose, but I don't know. Mine fit perfect and tight. Thanks :-)

I've been driving with mine on now for a week(a lot of highway driving) and don't budge, but it'd be nice if they were more snug....I'd be less worried about 'em.

I really think they did the black sealer for show purposes only.....wish they would have used it for all the lights....they would look so much nicer.

Anyhoo, I'm not gonna worry too much...they are screwed in and don't seem to be going anywhere. If they come out with better fitting lights, then I'll exchange....till then I'm happy and content with what I got.

SlAcKeR out!

I just noticed earlier tonight while I was gassing up that my right Altezza lens has a bit of a gap in it down the left-hand side of it. I could see between the fender & the gap at the metal inside the lens. The left one seems to fit ok, but the right one really doesn't too well. Anyone else notice this? I wonder if they're going to do anything about this to compensate for those of us who have loose fitting lenses (ie. send out newer, tighter fitting ones to replace the loose ones). That would be great customer service if they did this. I personally feel that they should do this.

Mine are the same way.....however I don't think this is what is causing the problem. Look at these vs the originals(pay attention to the top portion. The tab thingy is different. Just got an email from someone at APC and I'm sending him pics of this problem so he may get it fixed.

We will see!

Mine are still in the box. I guess I should install them and see how they fit.

Not in a real big hurry cause it is winter, but didn't buy them to set in a box.

Hope we hear from APC soon.

Thanks for all the info. out there.
