A very good day, indeed. Can't Post

My parents drove 2 hours each way today to pick up a 10 week old (I believe?) Bichon Frise puppy. After we lost Sugar (also a Bishon Frise), my father started looking for another. He loved how playful and loving Sugar was.

The puppy (no name yet) is much more timid than Sugar was. She was kept in a horse trailer parked in a garage, and only saw humans when being fed. We feel she'll open up as she gets to know and trust us. Currently there are eight of us living at the house including my sister's fiance. Not to mention 3 cats. So I don't think it will take long for her to open up.

She likes to sit in our laps and whines if we put her down. Looks like she's going to be a lap dog. (won't bother my family any Smile)

I think she's really going to help my dad get over the loss of Sugar. We'll always remember her. She was one of a kind.

He started searching pet sites, at our encouragement, about a week after she died. It was nice to see him get exited about getting another puppy. He even talked the lady into allowing him to come after hours to pick her up.Cool

I snapped some pics to share with you fine folks:

She actually stayed still. I can't ever seem to get animals to stay still!

This is "Dad's Chair". Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, is allowed to sit in HIS chair. Unless you're cute, cuddily, and have a puppy's face. The old softy.Smile

She found Sugar's stash of toys. She really likes this one. Finally, she stopped whining! That's my older brother Rog. He's just sad the puppy took his toy.ROFL

"Ok, you can have the toy..."

So, today was a great day. Hopefully you all had just as good of a day as me!

Later,

Ray

Cheering That is so great, Ray. So happy for your family and expecially your Dad. Be sure and let us know when this adorable puppy gets it's name. Have a great weekend, Mickey Wave

I am so happy for you all. Nothing can heal your heart like a good 4 legged friend. If I didnt have my co-pilot, Denver, I would be lost! Make sure you let us all know its name, ok?
