Noticed today air noise that seems to be coming in through the drivers side when the window is up (maybe near the side view mirror or maybe where the window meets the convertible top). I don't feel any air coming in, just a sporadic wind noise. Any ideas? Thanks. ----------

Sit in you cruiser with the motor running and have someone squirt the top and windows with the garden hose ,See if any water gets in. This should help out with the problem. ---------- big jim

Thanks for the reply. It doesn't seem to be leaking any water. We had some pretty heavy rain here in NY and the inside stayed bone dry. It's just an annoying wind noise that comes and goes. I've read in other posts that it can be yje side view mirror? ----------

It's kind of hard to see air ,so water under pressure is used to take it's place..If water gets in so will the air. It also depends on what year the convertible is.The 05 tops are noiser then the 06 tops. ---------- big jim

Every convertible will give a lil whir of air when driving. I get the same sound in the same area when driving my 05. Mostly when it I am at 60mph +. Not a big deal. I have been in BMW's and Porssches which display the same type of noise. I hear that damn noise at lower speeds to, really sounds like to coming in through the side view mirror. I don't feel any wind/air, just that annoying gusty noise. I guess I'll get used to it; at least it doesn't leal like my eclipse spyder did! ----------

Have you ever popped off the plastic mirror cover's on the inside. there's a rubber gasket ,maybe one of the nuts are missing or the center hole is to big. Stuff it with something and see if that helps any. ---------- big jim

I had the same problem with my driver's side mirror. I could hear the noise with the window up and with the window down. Drove me nuts. The car was still under warranty so I took it back to the dealer and they replaced the entire driver's side mirror. They said something about "loose adhesive" on the mirror. Anyhow, that was 14,000 miles ago and I have not heard the noise since. ----------

Had the mirror installed. Although better, there's still a slight intermittent wind noise through the side view. Hopefully it will not get any worse. ----------

I recently took mine into the dealer and they replaced the top due to some mechanical arms of the top rubbing and causing a whole in the top. But when I took it out afterward I had a annoying whistling noise. What it turned out was in the roll bar the rubber strip that fills the gap between the two pieces of the roll bar was not in right and had a gap and was creating the noise. It got put back in place and it's nice and quiet again!! ---------- 05 Vert, turbo lite, standard atx, k&n, roll bar speakers, klingons removed, Airbox surgically enhanced...lol Just chillin in Cincy!

This is a VERY COMMON concern on this car! There is a technical service bulletin out on this condition. Basically you remove the side mirrors and there is a butyl patch on the leading edge of the outer belt moulding. Make sure it is on and covering the edge of the belt moulding 100%. Then you will see some seams that run from the belt moulding to the front of the door, under the weather strip. Fill any voids with a sealer. Install mirror and the noise will be 99% gone. The other 1% involves "squeezing" the mirror stanchion, The rubber triangle piece that the mirror is bolted onto and the front of the glass slides in, together using a pair of flange vice grips and having the window down. All noises will be gone, any questions call me 905.829.LEAK (5325) www.leakpro.com John ----------

Mine is at the dealer this morning. I had air noise on the passenger side window. The dealer ordered all new weather stripping. The noise was not loud but irritating. It stood out because the rest of the top was whisper quiet. It is an 06 marine blue vert. Regards, Frank ----------

I feel for you. It was not done right. Take it back and have the weatherstripping checked. I have no air noise even at highway speeds. Regards, Frank ----------
