Alabama PT Weekend—Schedule of Events Can't Post

Friday
I will be checking into the host hotel at 3:30. Goody bags, snacks, and Milo's tea will be ready in the host suite.
7:00 pm.—Dinner at the Margarita Grill, Tex-Mex restaurant near the hotel, for early arrivals

Saturday
8:00—Breakfast at The Original Pancake House on Southside Birmingham (just below Vulcan)
10:00—Up Red Mountain to Vulcan, aka the Moon Over Homewood, the largest iron statue in the world that overlooks Birmingham (see photo below). Visit should take an hour or less. Admission: $6 or less (have senior rates); then head back to hotel.
1:30—Leave host hotel for Barber Motorsports Museum
2:00—Barber Motorsports Museum (Our discount admission: $8.00)
5:00—Dinner at Ezell’s, directly behind host hotel—within walking distance.
9:00—Show-n-glow contest

Note: If you pick up your goody bag Friday or Saturday, it will include tickets for free admission into Oak Mountain State Park. Late arrivals—$3/person admission.

Sunday
Breakfast on your own. Waffle House and McDonald’s are within walking distance; Cracker Barrel is across the street. (You’ll want to drive—it's a four-lane highway, and you'll have a traffic light directly into their lot.)
9:00—Start lining up at hotel to drive into park; head out at 9:15 sharp.
9:30—Behind-the-scenes tour of the Wildlife Rescue Center (recipient of our fund-raising efforts)
10:00—To the picnic pavilion, where we will be the rest of the day
12:00—Lunch; judging will begin
2:30—Start awards ceremony


Awards
Top 25—judged by non-PT-club-affiliated car show judge(s).
Furthest Driven—per MapQuest
Top 5 Show n Glow— judged by non-PT-club-affiliated car show judge Note: Neons are not street legal in Alabama. If you have them and are driving here at night, turn them off when you cross the state line! State troopers will make you cut your wires if they catch you driving with them on.
Honorary Southerner Award—judged by donor
Wildlife Supporter Award—decorative eagle trophy donated by Premium Productions as a fundraiser for the Wildlife Center; will be raffled.

Been thar CUT THAT Frown Now that be Any and all Blue Lights and Forward Facing Red lights.. Just turn em all off if ya can. Causin if you start sassN the POlice here and they say "you aint from here are you" Well lets just say your in a heap of trouble..


Some Other Laws U mite need to be aware of


-It is illegal for a driver to be blindfolded while operating a vehicle.
-Dominoes may not be played on Sunday.
-It is illegal to wear a fake mustache that causes laughter in church.
-Bear wrestling matches are prohibited.
-Incestuous marriages are legal.
-It is illegal to impersonate a person of the clergy.
-It is illegal to maim oneself to escape duty.
-It is illegal to stab yourself to gain someone's pity.
-You may not drive barefooted.
-Putting salt on a railroad track may be punishable by death.
-Boogers may not be flicked into the wind.
-It is legal to drive the wrong way down a one-way street if you have a lantern attached to the front of your automobile.
-You must have windshield wipers on your car.
-You may not have an ice cream cone in your back pocket at any time.
-Masks may not be worn in public.
-Women are able to retain all property they owned prior to marriage in the case of divorce. However, this provision does not apply to men.
-Men may not spit in front of the opposite sex

Alabama City Laws

Anniston:
-You may not wear blue jeans down Noble Street.
Auburn:
-No person may spit on the floor of a church.
-It is illegal to bike, roller-skate, skateboard, or inline skate in a commercially zoned area.
-Men who deflower virgins, regardless of age or marital status, may face up to five years in jail.
Huntsville:
-If an animal control officer is in uniform, it signifies to the public that he is an animal control officer.
Jasper:
-It is illegal for a husband to beat his wife with a stick larger in diameter than his thumb.
Lee County:
-It is illegal to sell peanuts in Lee County after sundown on Wednesday.
Linden:
-All women of "uncertain chastity" had to be off the streets by 9 p.m.
Mobile:
-It is unlawful to wear women's pumps with sharp, high heels.
-It is unlawful to howl at ladies inside the city limits.
-No one may use a 'funk ball' within the city limits.
-Bathing in city fountains is prohibited.
-No person within the city may possess confetti.
-It is illegal to spit orange peels on the sidewalk.
-'Spray String' is banned.
- Bicycles are banned from the interstate highways.
-If one wishes to read palms in the city, they must first pay $10 for a permit.

WOW—I'm surprised that am-bu-lance didn't haul me to prison instead of the hospital when I wrecked my scooter the morning I had dury duty!

Also, our state troopers have new Dodge Chargers; they don't play.
