Wow! So you know the state better than most. You know that Mopars at the Battleship is the last Saturday of April? http://www.southernmopar.org/ This will be my third year attending the show. We're very excited that you're coming to the picnic! ----------

Hi Rhonda (Hip), Thanks for letting us know that we're set. This is kinda like waiting for Christmas to come. Almost 80 today, 1st time in the yard, raking, pruning, breathing. My wife & I are coming out of hibernation. Any more Yankees coming down. Slipfit. ---------- If it's gonna happen - it's gonna happen out there.

Hi Hipcat, Caught your post on NWI - good stuff - thanks for the support. My sister-in-law and her husband were up from Knoxville last week. He's been to the Barber Museum and says it's worth the trip just to go there. He's got a couple of motorcycles, so he's into it. Checked the mileage to B'ham - only 780miles. Leave at 6:00am - should be there around 5:00pm. Simple. AUCRZR, bring on the heat. Shorts, shade/sun and something cool to drink don't scare me. Slipfit ---------- If it's gonna happen - it's gonna happen out there.

Hey, Slip—I found a fellow countryman for you! There's a red PT Cruiser at work that I've been leaving cards on the windshield. We finally pulled up to work today at the same time, and I got to meet the owner. As we walked in the building, I was telling her about the picnic and that we had someone coming from MIchigan. It ends up that she's from Michigan too! I'm sure she'll be glad to hear someone speak in her native tongue. ----------

Hey AU, I see those southern plates up here, but they're usually cuddled in at the Cracker Barrel Restaurants. Is that comfort food Hi Hipcat, Did she say what part of Mich? LOL! We are all about the Cracker Barrel! In fact, our host hotel is across the street from one. (Do they serve grits in northern Cracker Barrels?) She must have been living here for a little while. She didn't sound way Yankee, but she definitely didn't have a drawl either. ----------

Having Michiganders at the picnic will give it an exotic feel as it will be like you're playing host to Canadians without having to know how to speak French or make poutine. ----------

What is a poutine anyway I had 1 ancestor traced back to Quebec in the 1600's, it stopped there. He was hung for murder. When they asked for volunteers to go to "Bama", I didn't know what they were talkin' about and the rest of the state took a step backwards - I was left out front. Gotta remember to ask for Coke, ask for Coke, ask for Coke.....Slipfit P.S. Live long and prosper. ---------- If it's gonna happen - it's gonna happen out there.
