My wife and I will be there along with a few family members. We plan to go to the Meet and Greet and Parade. We will probably go to the car show over at MJC and will check out the Show and Glow but we don't have lights on our PT, so we won't be entered. James ----------

I hope you have a good stay at the Double Tree, last year they were RUDE, CRUDE and wanted the PT Cruisers out of there as soon as possible. I hear they have some new folks there, but I won't be staying with them after the way the PT folks were treated last year. They were going to tow one members car away for parking in a handicapped parking spot and this person is handicapped and has the hanicapped parking permits, was not a fun experience for any of us. ----------

I have been assured that the staff of the Doubletree will not be insensitive to the needs of the handicapped, or anyone else, for that matter. Our club has had a very good relationship with them for five years now, yet there were "red flags" that we noticed last year that caused us to rethink our teaming with the hotel in 2006. After all, our event has brought tons of $$$ to them and we are not going to tolerate our guests being treated poorly, regardless of the great location close to the nighttime activities. Their is a new staff in place, the Doubletree has received a new cosmetic facelift in the past year, and - get this - the Sales Manager is so impressed with Cruiserfest that she bought a PT and joined our club a few months ago! So I sincerely don't expect anything but top-notch service in 2006. I apologize for your experience last year and hope you'll join us again. The Red Lion on Sisk Road is a good alternative. Best Regards, Keith Sellers Co-Chairman Cruiserfest 2006 ----------

As usual, the Modesto team has been on top of everything - never a doubt in my mind about that. Am sorry to hear someone had problems with the hotel last year, we have always had a wonderful experience with them. But it certainly sounds like the organizers have made every effort to ensure nothing like that happens again. We KNOW how much time and effort the organizers put into this event - and they are to be commended. Keith, darlin', been putting off telling you - it looks like we have to miss this year's Cruiserfest. You don't know how sorry I am to have to say that, either! We WILL be there with you in spirit and we KNOW that it will be a tremendous success as it always is. This event is now less that two months away and it looks like it will be one great "Pt happening" -- more than 500 cars are expected to be there! Hope to see many PTCC people there including a good number from the Pacific Northwest. ----------

As of today it looks like there will be at least 14 cars from the Pacific Northwest participating in this event. We are leaving for Modesto tomorrow. It appears that one has to go to Cruiserfest in order to get warm. The weather forecast for the three days of the event is mostly sunny with temps between 89 to 94 degrees/F. My wife and I will be at the Meet & Greet Friday evening and in the Saturday afternoon parade. See you. ----------

Shirley, sorry that you were not able to attend this event. My wife and I had a great time participating in our first Cruiserfest. The three-day PT Cruiser event was almost "weather perfect" -- temperatures were in the 80's and 90's but with a nice breeze much of the time. Approximately 300 PT Cruisers participated in the show this year. The car that was driven the furthest was from Arkansas and one person came from Great Britain to attend the event. There were 10 cars from Washington State -- 6 of the 10 won awards. Our Seamist Green CruzN Machine won Third Place in the Ultra-Personalized PT Cruiser Class.
The orange and white PT Cruisers shown above took first and second place, respectively, in the Ultra-Personalized PT Cruiser Class.
This black/silver PT received the Best of Show award at Cruiserfest 2006. ----------
