Well, after giving it a lot of thought and taking a hard look at the car and the trim, I decided that the stainless would work with the silver paint and I went for it!
Not bad, huh? Unfortunately, I made an error lining up pillar #2 on the driver's side...
Notice it sits a little too high. Oh well, I can't do anything about it now. But the pass. side looks good, doesn't it?

You can try to get the one that is not placed good of by making it warm with a hairdryer!
