For some strange reason the PT was NOT in the latest car issue of consumer reports! There is a small section right before the ratings explaining why certain cars are not included (like the 2009 Matrix, 2009 Corolla, etc.) but the PT was not mentioned in that section either. It was listed in the prior years' reliability section but not in the current car section. Is there something we're not aware of......... I will be sending them an e-mail asking for an explanation. ---------- 2004 Black GT 5-Speed, Stage 1, Hurst Short Throw Shifter, Booger Bushings, 10mm Magnecor Wires, Iridium Plugs, Sun Hyper Ground System, Screamin' Demon Coil, Chrome Accent Group, Chrome Door Handle Scuffs, Fire Engine Red Brake Calipers, Blane Hood Lift Kit, Chrome Engine Caps, 8-Ball Shift Knob, 8-Ball Valve Stem Caps, 8-Ball Door Lock Pulls, Fuzzy 8-Balls on Rear View Mirror, Joe Boxer 8-Ball Floor Mats, Beltronics RX65 Radar Detector, Airaid Cold Air Intake, AMX1397 Turbo "Up Pipe", Mopar Blow Off Valve, Chrome AooGah Horn, Dual Aeroforce Interceptor Gauges.

Maybe they got their rumors mixed up and thought the end of the convertible was the end of the PT..... ----------

I don't have any faith at all in Consumer Reports Magazine. Oh, I guess they're OK for toasters and washing machines, but cars, stereo equipment, etc is a laugh. Their recent test of car waxes was an absolute joke. They had no clue what they were doing and actually claimed that a couple of the waxes could cause scratches on dark colored paint. To add to the hilarity, they rated one of those waxes as a top pick!!! Now why would you recommend a wax that you think scratches paint??? Besides, they did all their testing on base coat/clear coat paint systems so any scratching that might occurred would have been in the clear, not the color. And dark colors show defects more easily. I think if someone is going to write an article about anything they should at least have a basic understanding of what they're talking about. Yes, I know they actually rated the PT very highly for the past several years. Means nothing to me. Oh, and the number of problems I've had with my PT in the past 4 years/34,000 miles: ZERO. Number of scratches I've put in the paint while waxing it: ZERO.
