Hello everyone 
i am going to Return to the beach 8 in myrtle beach, s.c. next month and i was wondering how many of you are also going. i would like to get around and meet as many club members as possible. after years of reading the posts in here i feel as though i know most of you. anyway, i wanna go around and get pics of as many of you as i can with your cars. see you at the beach!! teddi

Yep, we're also staying at the Red Roof Inn. We should be arriving on the 16th (Tuesday). We have a 2007 Pacific Coast Highway Edition.

Petey, will be good to make a new freind this year! and becky will be good to see an old freind too!
mom and i are leaving florida on wed. and staying the night about half way, or whenever we get tired, whichever comes first, lol. we will arrive sometime on thrusday afternoon. i will be looking for you all.

Hopefully we'll run into you in the parking lot or something. We're looking forward to meeting people who enjoy their cars as much as we do our little Petey. We just got him in July, our first PT Cruiser. We have already joined two local groups, but it will be fun to meet people from all over too.

Will be great to meet you all!! this is my second time to RTTB and the last time i was just in awe of everyones cars. i don't think there were 2 alike out of the 200 that were there, it is just mind boggling!
it should be easy to spot my florida flip-flop car seat covers and theme. Mom and i are leaving here on wed. morning, spending the night in savannah and then on to the beach thurs. morning. see you all real soon!! Teddi & Mom

Did you win an award? We were sitting way in the back, but it looked like you, and I think I heard the words "Miss B" being used. Lots of people talking around where we were sitting, so it was sometimes hard to hear the speaker on the microphone.

Yes PeteyPCH, I got "Best Stock - Top Ten". Talk about being surprised! I think with the size of the crowd they needed to crank up the sound system so everybody could hear. I was standing off to the side around the middle of the group and wondered if I heard them right!  Thanks for noticing and I wish you would have introduced yourself! Ok, you have to come back next year to do that!

I just clicked on your link to look at the pictures people posted on the website so far, and it went to the set of the awards ceremony on Saturday night. Ya know, the picture of the woman who won for best paint job doesn't seem right. I could have sworn the woman who won that award was the black woman who had the car whose paint changed colors from pink to green to purple. She gave a speech about getting the car from someone in the Good Will store parking lot for $6,000. I don't see her picture anywhere, I'm positive she won for best paint job.
As soon as my husband finds his cable to connect his digital camera to his PC, we'll be downloading pictures of cars and activities in the hotel parking lot, plus the "parade" on Thursday night at Broadway at the Beach.

Actually the Best Paint winner is correct, it was the orange & white PT from VA. The shade shifting one was the Multiple Sclerosis pick winner. Go to the beach website and click on the "Classes" link at the top, we have some of the names posted and on the Photo Gallery link, we have photos. Thanks for coming, we had a great time putting it on and seeing everyone. We had quite a few first timers this year.
