Authorized Modifications Can't Post

Hey guys,

I was under the hood today and I noticed a sticker that says "Authorized Modifications" and has some numbers on it. I bought my car from Enterprise Rent-a-car and am wondering what they had done to it. The sticker was on the underside of the hood itself. I took a picture of the sticker.

Does anyone know how to decode these modifications?

Thanks!

Hey, I have a weird sticker too, except mine is on the computer (PCM) and it says "Mandatory Upgrade". My PT was not one of the recalled '02 models for the dash light defect, so I do not know what was done to it. I guess we are under the same set of circumstances; both our PT's came from Enterprise RAC, who knows what they do to their vehicles before renting and selling. It must be to our benefit.

Thanks!

To tell you the truth, I'm glad I bought it from Enterprise. It was spotless and I know the regular maintinence was done on schedule. If you buy from an indevidual, who knows when they changed the oil.

I did have some reservations, tho. For example:

'nuff said.

Re: [lacounty] Authorized Modifications Can't Post

I bought her with *i think* 28,000 miles on the odometer. I now have 35,000 miles and she's still treating me good. I had one small hiccup; a bad oxygen sensor. But a quick trip to the dealer had it fixed in no time. Since then, I've been very impressed with the car.Cool

[EDIT]

Forgot to mention that my sister also purchased a Kia Optima from them. She found out that the car would need a transmission flush at 45k (she bought it with 43k on it) when she went in to get a drooping vanity mirror fixed. She called enterprise and they paid to have it done. At this time she had already had the car for over a month. Now that's customer service!!

Also, they allow you to return the car for a FULL REFUND within 7 days of the purchase date. You have a pretty good idea if the car has been mis-treated by day 7.

All-in-all it was a very pleasant buying experience. I wouldn't think twice about going back.
