On August 5 there will be a cruise for Pre-1980 cruisers ,all kinds ,and on Sunday Aug. 6 th 1980 and newer that means PT"S too. The cost is $15.00 for the event, And you get a dash plaque, A tee shirt and wrist bands for store discounts. But you have to register by July 16th .There will be Forty trophys per day.I know that these will be outstanding trophy's because I picked them out. Every one will love them. So for more infrormation and registration go to http://groups.msn.com/NewarkAutoFest or e-mail at blownmonte@msn.com .If you don't want to take your Pt you can bring something else except no motor cycles..This is a rain or shine event. The times are 2-10 on Saturday and 2-7 on Sunday,.Live music on Saturday and a DJ on Sunday. Last year we had 9 PT's show up and all nime won a trophy. It was by popular vote .There will be a total of 400 allowed per day.

We have four hundred registered for Saturday but only 106 for Sunday. And only 10 percent of Sunday's event are PT's. Come on guy's get the lead out. . The weather report for the weekend is Sunny and hot but not as hot as it has been this week..The PT's are parking off of main street in the Newark Shopping Center parking lot next to the registration booth and the DJ. This is where the trophys will be given out. This protects the cruisers from traffic and us old people don't have to walk so far.

We had over 500 show up on Saturday, The place was packed. We had to turn some away. Alot said that they were coming back on Sunday, so this should be interesting ,the old and the new together. We gave out 42 trophys and that's what we have for today. So if your coming try to be here by noon. Remember this is a college town so the girls are almost dressed as they check out the cruiser's (This information is only for us old men.)

If you go to captainjava.com then to the forums and then to pictures you will see every thing. Sorry ,most of the pictures are of girls .But I did see a few Cars as well. Enjoy

The web Site is down, Seems so guy hacked into it. If you want to send me an e-mail I'll return it to you with the picture's .It was a great event. One of the PT's, Barb Ingalls, from NY will have her PT's picture on next years Auto FestTtee Shirt's and it sould be as sharp as it is. Five street rods and one PT. Maybe next year we can add a few more PT's if you guy's would only show up.
