Ok folks, here it is.... what you've all been waiting for..... here's the link with all the information for the Bristol Show & Shine and Bristol Motor Speedway's Speedway In Lights http://www.carolinaptcruisers.com/bristol05.htm! Keep checking the page for updates, I'll post all changes there! I'm also going to attempt to set up a page on Cafe Press for T-shirts, Sweat Shirts, Mugs, etc. and will post that link when I get it. Here's some information that is fresh from the dealership today! They are going to have BBQ and refreshments for everybody on Saturday so lunch is covered! They are also going to have door prizes to win plus cover all the advertising for the event with the local media! Hope to see y'all there! Becky ----------

Good news! The La Quinta Inn Bristol (Exit 7 off I-81) has agreed to be the host hotel for the event! Call (276) 669-9353 and ask for the "PT Cruiser" Group of rooms to make your reservations. Group rates are $49.00 + tax for 2 double beds (1-4 people) or $55.00 + tax for 1 king bed (1-4 people). Cutoff date for making reservations at this rate is November 5th, 2005. The La Quinta is PET FRIENDLY. Becky ----------

Is everybody ready to cruise? 3 more days til Bristol Show & Shine and Speedway In Lights Cruise! I currently have 25 PT's signed up: NC=6, SC=1, TN=8 and VA=10. This doesn't count any locals the Dealership has invited so there could be more. The dealership will have a place set up inside for us to use so you don't have to stand out in the cold all day; they are providing lunch for everybody (bbq & fixins); and will have the Parts Department open during the show with discounts for all PT Cruiser folks. The weather looks like it is going to cooperate with us with Saturday daytime being partly sunny in the low 50's and Saturday night being partly cloudy and low around 30. So.... layering clothes is good! Hats and gloves if you plan on walking around the Christmas Village on the infield of BMS. Friday night dinner for early arrivals will be at 7:00 PM, Damon's Grill (also at Exit 7). I currently have a count of 15 people that plan on going to dinner.(11 from VA, 2 from NC & 2 from TN). If anybody else is arriving early and would like to go to dinner with us please drop me an email or post on one of the forums so I can add you to the reservations. Everyone have a safe trip I will be on my 2-way radio Saturday on Channel 4 and most all of you have my cell phone number. See all y'all then! Becky ----------

Becky's Show & Shine went off just great. Lots of nice PT's and we had sunshine all day. Bristol Speedway Christmas Lights were even better this year with the addition of new scenes. ----------

I wanted to thank everybody that attended the Bristol Show & Shine. Yes, it takes somebody to put it together but if nobody came there wouldn't be an event now would there! We had 24 PT's from NC, SC, VA & TN. Thanks to you we had a wonderful bunch of cruisers and even drew in some newbies to their first show. The weather for the show was perfect, the food at dinner was great, and the Speedway In Lights is always an awesome sight to see! Special thanks to my helpers Carrol and Jim for parking cars and Marcye, Mary and Logan for selling 50/50 tickets and helping with setup & registration. Thanks Roger for installing my hood struts and Robert for installing my radio/6 cd changer (we even had a little "tool time" going on!) Here are my pictures from the event http://community.webshots.com/user/rallen9133-reg It was so great seeing everybody and being able to visit with you on Friday night before the craziness hit on Saturday. I'm glad our folks that got lost going to dinner (because of my wrong directions) were found quickly and brought to the restaurant! Y'all should know by now I don't know how to get where I'm going MOST of the time! LOL! I will send a thank you note this week to Tim Marburger Chrysler thanking them for their hospitality, a wonderful catered lunch and door prizes. If anyone would like to send them a card (I couldn't find an email address for them) their snail mail address is: Tim Marburger Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge ATTN: Tom Slagle, Sales Manager 2638 West State Street Bristol, TN 37620 Last but not least, congratulations to all our winners: Best Stock - RJ Watters, RC Cruisers Best Mild - Parkie Smith, Star City PT Cruisers Best Wild - Doug & Geni Mullins, Star City PT Cruisers People's Choice - Doug & Geni Mullins, Star City PT Cruisers 50/50 Drawing Winner - Mary Kay Brown, Star City PT Cruisers I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving and I hope to see you again soon.
