California Cruisers troubles

How many of you have had dealings with Southern California Cruisers (PT BOB)? I have had nothing but trouble with him from the first day I ordered parts. Excuse after excuse why the parts took months to receive and then when I did they were wrong! After almost a year of trying to get a refund I am now in the process of filing my case in the small claims court in San Bernardino (I live in Wisconsin), I have filed complaints with the BBB (his rating with them is an F) in CA, also with the Federal Trade Commission. If anyone of you have had these problems with this company I highly suggest you contact the above and file a complaint. I know I have heard alot of complaints from both PT Cruiser and HHR owners about he joker. He needs to be stopped from doing business the way he does. Here are the links for any complaints: www.ftc.gov http://www.labbb.org/BBBWeb/Forms/Business/CompanyReportPage_Expository.aspx?Compa nyID=13175618 ----------

I wish I would have known also. He cannot remember from one day to the next what we emailed each other. I will fly to CA for small claims and do whatever I have to do whether it be garnish, attach bank accounts, leins. I will get my money back if I win (don't see how I will lose, I have about 50-60 pages of emails, receipts) I will also be asking the court to be reimbursed for airfare, hotel and car rental. ----------

I'm sorry you got taken by this theif. I've heard many, many, many horror stories about PT Bob. I don't see how he is still allowed to do business. What good is the BBB if there are no repercusions for having a low score?! There's no way I can look at every business I work with, I'd be on their site all day! Good luck, I hope you take him to the ringer! -Ray ----------

Thanks everyone for the support I think everyone who has ever been burned by PT Bob should file a complaint with www.ftc.gov so that they can investigate his dealings and shut him down for good! I bet he has burned alot of people out of thousands of dollars. This is the response I got from the Federal Trade Commission: Thank you for contacting the Federal Trade Commission. We entered the information you provided into our shared law enforcement data base. We share this data base with Federal, State and Local law enforcement agencies. Attached is your electronic response, which includes your reference number. Any enclosures can be found at www.ftc.gov under Consumer Protection and Consumer Information section. Information from consumers like you helps Federal, State and Local authorities investigate possible illegal practices and enforce our laws. Someone from the Federal Trade Commission or another law enforcement agency may contact you if they need additional information to help them in an investigation. Please visit the FTC's web page, www.ftc.gov, to get free information to help you avoid costly consumer problems. ----------

This is the same story about the great and mighty Bob since he started. I won't go into it other than to say that everyone needs to stay away from him. Sorry you had trouble and you won't have these kinds of problems with other suppliers..... Bob's just a prick and will screw you every chance he can. ---------- Jack Smith (Smittys PT) Webmaster Colorado Cruiser Club

kathie....I'm sorry you've fallen into the grasp of GotYourMoney' Bob. I've been around since the beginning, and his theiving way of doing business has not been put to a stop, and maybe his time will come one of these days. Thanks for your diligence, and I hope you can recover some of your costs. He drove from LA to Laughlin, just to put his flyers on PT's at the River Run in March. Needless to say, the paper recycling bin was a little bit fuller after we saw what he and his butt buddy were doing... Pass the word NOW!! Don't do business with him!! If anyone needs that kind of stuff done, go to PTeaser or one of the other guys. They may cost a little more, but Bobo's promise of lower prices comes at a price, a high price. ----------

That is why I am trying to get everyone who has been robbed by this thief to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission so that he can be investigated and maybe spend a little time in the slammer and be shut down permanently! that website is: www.ftc.gov ----------

Maybe the moderators should make this a "sticky" so that everyone can see the problems of dealing with PT BOB and California Cruisers. That way they can be forwarned about him before they get burned!! ----------

Boy, I consider myself a lucky guy. After I bought my 2004 Cruiser I wanted to have the side view mirrors painted the body color of my car. A friend of mine told me about Bob so I went over to his shop and had him paint my mirrors. Maybe because my friend had a lot of work done on his Cruiser by Bob he did not mess with me. Any way later on I started hearing like I am reading now so I never went back to him. Charlie ----------
