Can 2008 Alloy rims fit on 2001 PT Cruiser? Can't Post

I'm about to replace my old rims and I would like to put on the new 2008 Alloy rims on my 2001 LE PT Cruiser. Is the bolt pattern different? And will it fit correctly? (before I go and buy them to find out)
Thanks.

Yes, the bolt pattern, 5 X 100mm, and offset are the same for all year PTs and their wheels, just make sure what ever size wheels & tires you buy that the diameter is still with in 3% of the original tire & wheel diameter to keep the speedo correct.

Ok, thanks! Well, while was waiting for a response I called the Chrysler Dealership here. And I just got off the phone with a guy in the parts section, and he said the lug pattern changed over the years, and that the newer rims won't fit the older Cruisers. Are you absolutely sure? Is this guy just throwing out answers?

I think he is just throwing out answers.

As far as I know the only difference are the wheels on the turbo PTs. The front rotors are thicker and need more clearance. So, long story short... all non-turbo PT wheels will fit all other year non-turbo PTs and all turbo PT wheels will fit all year PTs. You just can't put a wheel from a non-turbo PT onto a turbo PT.

The guy is throwing out answers! All years are the same, there are 15", 16" and 17" rim sizes, but they are all interchangable. I recently put a 07 Spindle (Hub,bearing and Spindle) on my 04. Exact fit and it didn't even need an alignment.

ALL PT wheels fit ALL PT Cruisers, and yes the non turbo wheels will fit a Turbo car, myself and many others use the stock non turbo 15" plain steel wheels for snow tires, or race slicks on our GT Turbos! All PT wheels have the same offset to clear what ever caliper/rotor combination is used.

All PT Cruisers have a 5 lug by 100mm spacing, check the sticker on your door, or your owners manual, you can also go online and check Tire Rack or other wheel vendor of your choice and see that all year PT Cruisers have a 5X100 lug pattern!

Re: [bruiser] Can 2008 Alloy rims fit on 2001 PT Cruiser? Can't Post

While we are on the subject...almost...
I've been looking at wire spoke or spoke type wheels for a while, and while I've found several brands and types that will go on my '06, they tend towards the expensive end of the spectrum. Now, I've also seen wheels on a lot of other cars, Lincolns, Mercurys, nice luxury style cars in other words, that have the nostalgic/elegant look I've wanted. Does anyone have suggestions on other brands or models that have the 100x5 pattern that will fit a PT? I would prefer to stick with 15's ( i like the ride better on our crappy highways), but would go with 16's if some nice wheels were found. Also while I would love to get the wide whitewals, they are also a bit cost prohibitive, has anyone found a wheel/tire combination that would get me standard whitewalls? So far, I've had no luck, and even the helpful tire and wheel shops seem stumped to find a combo that won't throw my speedo completely off...

Thanks!
