Can't Attach Roof Rack

I bought a OEM removable roof mounted luggage rack from the club store but there is no way to attach it. I have an 01 and the edge of the roof above the doors is solid. There is no lip for the clamp to fasten to. What am I doing wrong? Help! Thanks.

You have to pull the rubber gasket away and you will see the lip. Then install the rack and slip the gasket back over the rack. It does cause the gasket to bulge a little but the gasket goes back to nornal when you remove the rack.
