I know that the PTDoItYourself site already has instructions on how to change the spark plugs on a PT Cruiser but if you're anything like me you have to spend at least an hour going over them to figure out what everything means. Not knowning anything about cars, some of the terminology and pieces parts that are listed in the instructions made the whole procedure seem complicated since I didn't know one part from the other.
I've created a step by step guide (including pictures) for those of us who have no idea what we're doing when it comes to replacing spark plugs. Some people might find it a little easier than using the PTDoItYourself guide...... some won't.
Check it out HERE ----------

If it's an idiot you need to write a book then I'm just the man to do it. Hmmm.... that didn't seem to come out the way I had intended it to. [eek] ----------

I am an idiot about cars (and lots of other things) and I can write! I'll do it. Do I get to call the thingys "thingys", though?

Thanks! Sure is a complicated procedure to change plugs on the PT. Now, however, thanks to your excellent photos and step by step instructions, I won't be afraid to try it when it needs to be done. Again, MANY thanks! BC, the PT Vike ---------- BC, the PT Vike

PT Cruzr.. thanks for the great post. Just got finished installing the Champion platinum plugs.. Went in great, your instructions were right on the $$. Old plugs were in pretty good shape for 40k, just the gap had increased to about .058. Cruiser is running great, hope to see a little increase in gas mileage now!

If you could only get that pesky /membersonly/ bit out of the link.
Jerry's plug guide and the DIY site are more than happy to help fellow PT'ers for free.
I try to help with tech questions as much as I can. I consider most fellow PT owners to be friends. ----------

Thank you for the detailed images. I was pretty sure that this was how you removed the manifold, but you make it a lot simplier. Thank you again. GB Cruzn ----------
