Clutch Safety Switch Can't Post

Today I tried to make my wife happy. I failed.
She can't put the clutch all the way in due to her physical build. I easily fabricated a clutch stop that limited the travel but with it engaged, the clutch safety switch isn't engaged. I tried to remove the thing but realize I'm looking at major work and I'll proabaly break it. The manual has you drop the entire assembly. I had hoped to modify the switch and raise it. Has anyone attempted this and made it work. I know I could bypass it but my foot would get me in trouble (I will speed without cruise control).

Has anyone replaced this switch with something from Radio Shack?
Anyone know what diameter the mounting hole is?

Thanks,

Mike

Why don't you mount a block or rubber or wood on top of the petal. Think they even make things like that that you can buy???

That would raise the pedal too high in comparson to the brake. I could do all three pedals (gas, brake and clutch) but that would really screw up the driving position. I also believe that reducing the clutch pedal travel may aid to shifting speed.

I can't point you in any direction due to lack of specific knowledge, but watching a show on Discover channel about a family that is almost all "Little people"....
His wife wanted a VW beetle. after he bought it, he bought some kind of "pedal risers" so his wife could reach all the pedals. Maybe thats something you could look into...
