Can anyone give me insight to what this may mean. The reading showed error code P0572. Looking at a list of the codes it states: Cruise control / brake switch A circuit low?? The car has been running fine and have not experienced any noticable problems. I will say I bought the car as used, and the cruise control has never worked anyway, so not sure what to think. Thanks for the help. mrmo63 ----------

My guess is that your cruise control was probably stealer (poorly) installed. There is a connection that goes to the brake pedal switch which shuts down the cruise when you step on the brake. I would look for something like a broken connection or wire that has come loose or not connected correctly. ----------

Ok thanks. Would this be a major repair or concern since I haven't been using the cruise control anyway. Of course I want the light to disappear. Don't like lights being on showing possible problems with my car. mrmo63 ----------

I wouldn't call it a major repair, but if you want the CEL light off you need to fix it. ----------

Thanks for all your help. The diagnostic code of the cruise control/brake switch must have been the existing problem all along with the cruise control not working. The CEL light went off today on it's own, which may be related to putting gas in the car yesterday and not getting the cap on tight enough. Thanks again. mrmo63 ----------
