Cold start hesitation

'05 GT 2,000 miles: When starting in the morning, or after sitting for a few hours (the weather is warm) and starting, the engine will tend to die (not totally) when there is a bit of throttle put on it. For the first minute or so there is a feeling of dieing/surging when in neutral or when tranny engaged. Do I need to just sit in the vehicle for the first minute and let it warm up (i.e. live with it), or is something amiss and there is a fix for it? It has done this from the first 100 miles. ---------- Top Down better than Bottoms Up

It's not normal. Regap your sparkplugs to .035" and replace your spark plug wires with some good "After market ones" NOT Chrysler OEM's! For sure your problem will go away. ----------

The vehicle is within warranty. Is this something that a decent dealer service department should be able to remedy, or this this a "do it yourself" tweak? The dealer might say "they all do that, in which case I will know if I have a decent dealer or not. In any event, 90% odds since it won't misbehave when I bring it in they will want it left overnight to "experience the problem for themselves." ---------- Top Down better than Bottoms Up

Go with what Bluephrog said. Stock OEM wires are crap and a lot of us have gone to a .035 gap on the stock Copper Plus plugs. ---------- 2005 Stone White SRT4 2004 Graphite Auto

If it is under warranty, they most likely will replace the plugs and wires with what you already have as that is what they sell and is covered under warranty. So, you may not get satisfaction from the dealer on this problem. I believe that to cure this problem, you are on your own. ----------
