Hi. The weather was beautiful today, so I gave her a bath. She looks brand new , but I used a sponge on the top and now have yellow pieces of it all over the canvas . I tried to use a rag tro remove them once the top dried and I just added red lint from that . So I am reaching out to acquire some help before I have an entire artist palette sitting in my driveway. Thanks for any suggestions you can offer ! Sincerely, Brian ----------

Don't feel bad.... I used a white "fuzzy" mitt the first time I washed the PT and it took me an hour to get all the fuzz off the top with a lint brush! Now when I wash the car I have one of those sponges with the nylon netting on it (I think it's called a bug/tar remover pad at the auto store) and dip it in the car wash bucket to get it soapy. The nylon netting has been abrasive enough to get off anything that has dropped on the roof and doesn't leave yellow pieces on the top. We live and learn.... Becky ----------

Sadly , that was the type of sponge I utilized. Somehow the pieces of the yellow sponge came out through the netting and onto the top. I'm going to try to vacuum the top today. If necessary I'll go to the lint brush. Thanks for responding, it's appreciated ! ----------

Greetings from Florida. I used a soft brush on my ragtop, one designed for washing cars. I got it at Wal-Mart and it works great. I also use the convertible top cleaner that I bought there. Have a seperate bucket of water for top of car, spray the cleaner on the top, dip the brush in water, and it looks great! Even gets out the seagull poop that just seems to hit my car daily. Hope this helps you. ---------- Life is just one long Cruise! Why not enjoy it in a PT! Teddi's PT Dash Blankies www.ptdashblankie.com

Hi. Thanks for responding. I used a lint brush first to try to remove the yelllow foam pieces without much success (after 10 sheets were spent) ! Then I switched to utilizing the hand held shark vacuum with the brush attachment. That seemed to get most of fuzz off - I just hope I didn't do any damage to the cloth top. What is the name of the cleaner you purchased at Walmart? I would also like to find a spray to condition the top after I have treated it so rough. Thanks again, Brian! ----------

I am not sure of the brand name of the cleaner, but it is in a white bottle and it just says convertible top cleaner on it. I have also seen it in some of the auto part stores. I will look next time I go to Wal Mart and see what the brand name is. (I am not at home right now, or I would go look in the garage, lol.) Good Luck, Teddi ---------- Life is just one long Cruise! The ONLY top cleaner is RAGG TOPP which is recommended by the top manufacturer itself! My company LEAKPRO only recommends this. We don't sell it...we just fix the roofs for Chrysler. More info...www.leakpro.com and check out the convertible section. ----------

Yes... We are big RaggTopp Product fans. We have tried other products, but we find RaggTopp is the best! The cleaner does a great job and we like that the protectant does not contain silicone. Lots of folks don't realize that RaggTopp is the only product on the market that is endorsed by Haartz Corp. who supplies Chrysler and lots of car companies with the material to make the tops. We buy RaggTopp from First Place Auto LLC in NJ. They also have a web site www.firstplaceautollc.com that you can order form. Great prices on RaggTopp and friendly service. Worth checking out. You can also read about RaggTopp at RaggTopp.com. P303 also makes a good product, but it is not endorsed by Haartz. There is something for everyone See ya later ----------
