Convertible top maintenance Can't Post

I finally did it - bought a PT Cruiser Convertible! (despite my more logicial side) Question: What special maintenance should I do considering it's kept outside all year around in the Northeast? How often should I Scothguard the top? Thanks.

Hi GST: Welcome to the ragtop world. As someone who's had ragtops in a variety of climate zones (I used to get transferred a lot), I'd recommend using products specifically designed for fabric top convertibles, notwithstanding the PT's manual suggesting Scotchguard. Obviously a garage or car cover is the best insurance, but even so I use products from 303 Products Inc. every six months with good success...the URL: http://www.303products.com/main.php?infopage=home There are other products out there too, I just haven't tried them.

Enjoy!Cool
