I'm asking for a friend here in town, that has a convertible. They bought it with no cruise control, and they want to put an OEM one in.
Does anyone know where to purchase such a critter?? I found one on EBay, but wanted to ask you guys first.

Hi, There are a couple of people on Ebay that sell the OEM cruise controls... I bought the OEM foglights on Ebay and he also sells the CC. I installed lights myself..the directions were straight forward...so I haven't had any problems with OEM purchases on Ebay.....but I had to have puter flashed to acivate lights...so you might have to do that after cruise install.......believe it or not that was the hardest part...finding a dealer who knew how to flash the puter....went to 4 till I found one...if you take to the dealer that you purchased car they should flash puter for free if needed.. but cruise maybe next on my list...

Thanks much Mike!!....I saw the $199 one and I FOUND the supposed Mopar # last night, but I forgot to write it down and now I can't find it. 
I called my dealer here and they insist there is no kit for a 2006. I'll write this Ebay guy and question him about it. Thanks again!! btw~ Who is the #30 you are a fan of??

Hi....No30fan....I am a long time California Angels  fan and of pitcher Nolan Ryan. He was #30 on the team. Met him several times.....I found 2 on Ebay for ya.....#130090433847...$159.99 .99.5% feedback...dont know if he's a Chrysler dealer...and #230104250664..and I believe he is a Chrysler dealer....and they both say 2006...
So good luck and let me know how it comes out...so I'll know how difficult it could be and the shortcuts

 I too would like the oem cruise in my 06. How did the install turn out? Anyone install this as a diy?

My local dealer said there were no kits for the cruise control. He call three local stores that install aftermarket cruise controls and no one would put one in my 2006. One of the service guys said that he thought the computer in my 2006 Base did not have a port for the cruise control to plug into. ??????
I inherited my PT from my daughter and I like it other than no cruise. Lots of room and decent gas mileage 23/25. Had a vibration in it but found out, on this forum, that it could be the drive axle. Took it to the dealer and he had to replace both the drivers side and the passenger side.

I can't say for sure, but I have a 2007 Base Model Convertible, and it came with cruise control as part of the Spring Special Package.
