Hi folks... AFTER the PT River Run, a few of us are checking out of the Riverside Resort in Laughlin on the 16th and driving to Williams, AZ to spend 2 nights. We will be either driving or riding the Grand Canyon Railway ( www.thetrain.com ) up to the Grand Canyon on the 17th of March. Note- the "Pullman" model train doesn't run until May, so we will be on the "Budd" train. The Railway leaves Williams at 10:30 AM and drops you off at the South Rim of the Canyon. The cost is $79 and some change, and includes the $8 National Park fee that is needed to get into the park. There is a surprise on the departure for the Canyon and a surprise coming back. If you drive, the charge is $25 for the driver, unless you have an ALL Access Pass from the National Park System. Each person in your car will pay $12 to get into the park. We are staying at the Motel 6 WEST and their rate is $41.64 on the internet. http://www.motel6.com/r eservations/motel_detail.aspx?num=4010&NOA=&aYr=&aMo=&aDa=&dYr=&dMo=&dDa=&BTR=/accormaps/M6ProximityResults.aspx?searchtype=&CP=&TA= or call (928) 635-9000 The rates will be higher if you call. Do not mistakingly call the EAST location, the reviews on it are horrible. The WEST location is new and much nicer. NOTE- Make your reservations quickly, that's Easter week and many people will possibly be on vacation or school breaks. I'm sure everyone will have a good time. I know most of you work, but if you're coming to the River Run and can take an extra day or two, join us!!! If you need any more details, email me at im4cruisn@mywdo.com ----------
