Does size matter? Can't Post

So I finally got around to changing the oil in our new PT Convertible. Shoulda done it right after we bought it back in November, but, oh well. Anyway, I picked up the Purolator PureOne version for this car, as I've been pleased with the PureOne model for other vehicles. When I crawled under the car to locate the filter, I was expected to find a filter of the same size, but I did not. What was on there was a Mopar filter, which seemed to be about 1/2 the height of the PureOne filter I bought as the replacement. I suppose it's a good thing to have a larger filter, since there's more surface area to do the work. But, I wouldn't think it'd be nearly twice as tall. Is it possible the installed Mopar filter was the wrong one? Or, is it the PureOne is just a bigger filter?

By the way, I'm VERY happy the filter is located in an easy location. Made for a quick oil change, once I got the other one removed. They must have had that thing torqued on there pretty tight, and I didn't have a filter wrench.

Thanks!
