Please help me settle an "discusion" my husband and I are having. I am looking to get winter rims on my Dream Series 1. I say any 16" cruiser rims will fit. He says somewhere he heard something about the wheels being special and not all other 16" rims will fit. Help me out PLEASE ---------- 2002 Dream Cruiser SWEET DREAM#5680

My 02 DreamCruiser Series 1 (3674) has 16 inch rims. I have new "ratty/funky" winter shoes that go on in mid October and come off mid April so i don't mess up my very cool DreamCruiser chrome wheels. I had a les Schwab tire tech tell me it was OK to have 17" rims with larger wheels. Yeah, Right!! All that did was mess up the computer. I made them trade back. Make sure when you get your car outfitted with your winterwear, that you go to a tire and wheel place that services specialty show cars. They do not charge more, they just give better service. ----------

IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THE SAME TIRES, ANY 16" CHYSLER RIM WILL WORK. THEY HAVE A 5 X 100 BOLT PATTERN THE SAME AS MOST CHRYSLER AND A LOT OF OTHER VEHICLES WITH A 5 STUD BOLT PATTERN. IT MIGHT BE CHEAPER TO USE A 15 INCH RIM WITH A TALLER TIRE FOR WINTER USE! ----------

I have 17" Konig alloys on mine, with 225/45 Kumho tires. They are sized to match the original tire diameter, therefore no speedometer or abs issues. Any "competent" tire place should be able to hook you up- like Tire Rack for instance. ---------- Motogeezer '02 Dream Cruiser #1856 '03 Sebring Convertible #WhoCares? I used the wrong word when I said wheel. I meant to say tire. The entire assembly was actually ONE INCH taller than the original that came on the car. They got their little knickers in a knot when I made them take the whole thing back. Now I drive by and wave every time I get the tires and wheels changed 60 miles away. Not only did they screw up my tire/wheel order, they broke the front bumper and won't take responsibility for it. It is not worth the effort fussing about it any more. One of these days, the front bumper will be replaced. My point to the first post was to make sure what you purchase for winter is the same size as what you use for summer driving. ----------

I have the 16 inch chrome rims similar to the DC rims but switch to the 15 inch steel wheels with Blizzaks for winter. With the right bolt pattern any 15,16 or above will fit. GT's can't go down to 15 inch because of brake clearance for bigger brakes. ----------
