Dream Cruiser 3 5speed 1877 miles Can't Post

I am pondering selling my beautiful PT. It is the 2 tone blue silver for anyone that is not familiar with them. The car has 1877 miles on it (nice weather today) and is garaged from day one. It was bought new around March so there is 2 years + on the 3/36 warranty and 6 + on the 7/70. I bought it cash so title is clear and I got a good deal on it so I figure I should be able to recoupe most of the money. Pass it around and shoot me offers I am located in Wantagh NY. Thanks all Rich

From your description it sounds just like a new car and the engine is not even fully broken-in. Cool Although the used PT Cruiser market is not very good these days (for sellers) think you will not have too much trouble selling it so long as you are able to wait until the right buyer comes along. Good luck.

Thanks Gary, she is a brand new car basically you are right. I had her out yesterday nice and sunny couldn't resist what a nice car. I dont need to sell her but financially I have alot of money into a car that sits in the garage most of the time! I checked around there may even be some new ones left over but DC took away all the rebates and incentives on 04s so they cant dicount them the way they were in 04-05. I bet a new leftover will be 24-25 grand.

You might want to advertise in the classified sections of this forum and others such as PTCruiserLinks and PTCrew. My guess would be there is a greater market for a 5-speed High Output Turbo like yours at www.ptcrew.com since there are lots of "performance people" over there. Also, I believe there were only about 1500 DS3 models ever made and a two-tone color option is no longer available--two good selling points IMHO. Cool

1309 DC3s is what I hear. Thanks for the tip on the other sites. Got her on PT Crew.com now.

Hi Rich,

Just curious as to whether you found a buyer. I have DC3 #1126 which I picked up in February of this year and love it. It's a shame you're going to let it go - I think you'll regret it years down the road.

good luck,
James

Not yet 1850 miles, I am only going to sell for the right price, dont need to but financially a better move. Where did you buy yours? My dealer had two identical cars and sold one before I bought mine in March.

Re: [Rich W] Dream Cruiser 3 5speed 1700 miles Can't Post

I'm in San Diego, CA. I was going to buy a black GT for about $500 more, but then came across this one and the dealer cut me a great deal. Just a bit under $20k and worth every penny.

Good luck with it - if I could I'd buy another for my wife, but she wants the autostick.

Take care,
James

Re: [dadcat] Dream Cruiser 3 5speed 1700 miles Can't Post

Dadcat what did you buy, stick or auto? Was it a brand new or demo? I know where another brand new 5 speed DC 3 is but I hear Chrysler took away all the rebates and dealer cash. If they are still discounting them mine is worth less accordingly but I hear they are only taking out the dealer profit so they are like $25-26000. I want to price my car correctly, but if I have to sell it to low I will just keep it. Thanks Rich.

Re: [Rich W] Dream Cruiser 3 5speed 1800 miles Can't Post

Happy New Year to All! It has been a while since I have been on the forum, Rich I am very sorry to hear that you are going to get rid of your Dream 3, I have thoroughly enjoyed going to the rallies, meeting new people & dreaming of how I'd like to "trick" it out. I am very partial to this particular series, not just because I own one, But I just really love the Two Tone exterior, as well as the leather seats, the moonroof, autostick, & not to mentiona few of the Silver panels I have added. I hope that you attend one more rally, meet more enthusiasts & get it out of the garage a few more times before you really sell it. Wave
