After a quick search on Autotrader for blue or silver 2004 Pt Cruisers I have found up to #1287 so if the VINs were 0001-1188 that theory is dead! If there were 1309 we need to find VIN# 1309! P.S. I also found 0016 and 0020!

Hi All;
I too was interested in the rarity of the 2004 DC3. I bought one three weeks ago. My number is #712. My Cruiser is an automatic. The slush box is cool though. I love it went some dudes enjoy making a highway merge difficult. Now I just blow right in front of them. Fifty to eighty in nothing flat.

I have had both stick and auto I prefer my current 5 speed. It does not really matter as long as it is a turbo. My 03 GT auto was night and day better than my 01 LE auto!

I've seen one of the low 1300 numbers either on one of the forums, an eBay sale, or elsewhere on-line. Very memorable since it was what I thought to be one of the last ones built.
Tractorfix's Canada export production theory sounds pretty plausible to me in explaining the 1309 number.

WELCOME Lynxx! Glad to know there is another DCS#3!!! Are YOu from OKlahoma? Do you know about the Midwest Regional PT Cruiser Rally that is going to be in Bartellsville,Okla this Sept? If you do are you coming? Me & PT Dave & I think Mickey 41 is also coming!!! Hope you can make it!!

Glad your gonna be there! & YES ya gotta join! I remember my first Rally which was the original Midwest Regional Rally in Winchester,Ks. Meeting everyone & learning things about the cruiser was totally fun & exciting! So bring a big notepad! Ha!  We'll be there, can't wait to meet ya! Nice to know there's some other DCS#3 out there! WooHoo!
