I have a long time customer who has a "California Dream Cruiser", he was wondering about production figures, and where his fell into the production run. As a Chrylser dealer we have no access to production numbers, so I thought I would throw it out to the experts for help. His vin # is 3c8fy78g15t515465. Any help would be greatly apperciated.. If I am correct, the California cruiser never came into production. My best guess is that the car lot that sold the vehicle as "new" added some things and named it a california dream cruiser. In my area the car dealers rack up the price by adding some pin stripe, and a couple other things along with a badge and selling them. I have seen a "california cruiser" here and it was a black base model with silver wood paneling. I asked the people here and they told me the same thing that the california cruiser concept never made it to production. This is the real california cruiser: http://www.mrmikes.com/...nceptscalifornia.htm That VIN # comes back to a 2005 PT Cruiser GT. Usually dream cruisers and special editions have some extra labeling under year/make/model. www.carfax.com ----------

If it was a production 2005 Dream Cruiser, it would be the "Series 4" convertible model. Sure sounds like something made up and rebadged by someone other than Chrysler. ----------

The only ones I know of that relate to California are the most recent Dream Cruiser/Street Cruiser models, the 2007 Pacific Coast Highway Edition and the 2008 Sunset Boulevard Edition. ----------
