 Hi guys and gals..... I need some dream cruiser info. I have a series 2 dream cruiser, number 0068. It was built in Jan ( the first production month ) and is a 5 speed. My question is, has anyone seen or heard of, a lower number 5 speed car? I have also heard rumors that the first few numbers were not used. Any truth to that? My thoughts are that given a roughly 9 to 1 ratio of automatics to 5 speeds, and the possibility of some early numbers not used, then this could be one of the first 2 or 3 five speeds built. Also Chrysler bigwigs may have grabbed up the very first few. Chrysler Corp. can verify that only 297 five speed cars were built but claim they can't tell what order 5 speeds and autos came off the line. The VIN does not distinquish between the two. Would the assembly plant know? Please let me know any info that you think might help. I bought this car used because i loved the color and have been driving it everyday for over two years. It now has 49000 miles. If this car is one of the first 5 speeds, perhaps I should retire it from everyday service?............ Anyone want to buy it?

 Mine is #1610. I drive it nearly everyday and its about to turn 59,000 miles. I have had for almost a year and have reason to believe the original owners used it for a tow behind. Seems to me chrysler (and the others) could do better than they do to keep track of what they put on a car, especially if they are going to do a special run all those details are important.
 I want to find out which of the 2 5spd trannies they put in it. I haven't figured that one out yet...
