They only recently (I think in 05) started putting 7" wheels on the GT. Before that they were 6". What a waste, I would have loved to keep my wheels to put wider tires on, but had to get new ones... ----------

If I am not mistakened My 05 Convertible Touring Edition has 16 x7 wheels But they are silver not chrome and I cannot wait to get chrome ones put on. That is if my wife's Explorer does not need a new transmission that is. BTW is there any place that will buy the old silver ones once I switch to chrome?? ----------

I'm pretty sure you're mistaken. AFAIK, only the most recent GTs have a 7" wide wheel ----------

We have an 05 TE LO turbo ragtop. It has the chrome clad 16'x6" upgrade wheels. Only the GTs have 7" wheels unless you upgrade. The rim size is on specifications label on the driver's door. Unless you or someone else upgraded or changed the rims, what is on the label is mounted on the car. ----------

Could not find the rim size anywhere on the door just the wheel size 205/55/R16 which when I look ion the internet it fits a 16 by 7 rim. Now the GT's come with a 17 x7 rim anyway No matter which rim size I have I cannot wait to replace them.. ----------
