Dual gauge pod gauge choices

Hey all, Couldn't pass it up, just picked up an unused dual gauge pod off a guy for cheap. I was looking at a triple pod, but this was nearly free. Here is the question. If you only had the dual gauges to choose from, what would be your choices? My PT is an 03 Ltd, no turbo. When the engine needs replacing, I will probably find a turbo engine/tranny to drop in to it, and will probably step up to boost gauge, etc. But for now, I only have the Ltd with a Borla dual exhaust and a high flow air filter. Thanks for the input. ----------

#1 must have for me would be oil pressure. As far as I'm concerned all cars should really come with it and having just a light in the dash does not cut it. If the car starts to have low oil pressure I'd want to know about it WAAAY before the light would go off. After that, personally I'd go with an oil temperature gauge. I like the extra check on oil temperature to cross check against the coolant temperature reading. Another good choice would be a voltmeter to keep an eye on the charging system, but if I only had two gauges to pick from I'd forego this and settle for the dash light. The light gives you enough warning if something goes wrong and the consequences of running the battery down or having a dead battery are not so bad. BTW what kind of pods are these? A-pillar ones?

These are A-pillar dual gauge pods. It came with a volt meter gauge and a water temp gauge. I definitely don't need the water temp, since the PT already has one. I will replace both, since I want the meters to match. Thanks for the advice. I was originally thinking of a volt meter and oil pressure. The oil pressure and temp gauges sound like a good idea, too. Thanks again. ----------

like above I would go with a real oil pressure gauge and if the car is an automatic I would add a trans temp sensor, if not the oil temp is a good choice... ---------- Joel
