Hi Mike. The Cruiser looks very sweet when lowered, but I'm wondering what effects it has on the ride, handling, and cargo capacity of the vehicle:
Will lowering the front 1.5" and the rear 2" alter the 57/43 front/rear weight distribution significantly enough to affect handling? Will the car be less prone to understeer?
Does the shortening of the suspension travel make the ride significantly stiffer?
Does lowering impact the cargo and/or towing capacities of the vehicle?
In each case, I'm assuming that lowering springs are installed vs. heating/cutting of the stock pieces. Also that the wheels and tires remain constant.
I know the suspension engineers made many tradeoffs in the design of the suspension, and I'd like to understand how I might be undoing/altering their design work for the sake of cosmetics.
Thanks for your input. I really appreciate what you're doing with the PTCC and this website. Hope to meet you in person someday.
