NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Chrysler plans to stop production of the PT Cruiser, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The paper reported Friday that the automaker will drop the line after the 2009 model year. The move comes as Chrysler executives consider killing slower-selling models to help the company return to profitability.

CheeringHi Mike, Sorry to read about this. I was told that the PT Sedan would continue and Chrysler would eliminate the convertible and GT. On the good side at least they are dropping the name and not morphing into another unrecognizable vehicle. A lot of us will keep ours and cherish it.
I was surprised when I looked at the 12 cars at how much our car looks like the 1934 Desoto Airflow. I loved it, Mickey Frown
