Energy Suspension Information

Hi Just wanted to let everyone know that Energy Suspension has a new forum where you can post questions about installations, ideas for new products, or whatever you want. The url is www.energysuspension.com/forum Also, I am interested in learning about any tricks anyone might have about installing the lower control arm bushings for the PT cruiser kit. I am a new R&D engineer and I am re-writing the instructions for that part. We have gotten a few calls about the difficulty of the installation. I have a 01 PT Cruiser so I got a kit and installed the bushings. I have a few tips in mind that helped me install the bushings but I would like to hear some of yours. Reply to this post or post on the Energy forum. Thanks for your help! Nate Kossak ----------

Looking forward to your write up, I know several PT owners that have done the LCA bushings and they seem to be rather hard to do by yourself, and very messy with all the grease needed to get the new bushings with out a press, and having to burn out the old ones, but the number one complaint that I have heard is that there is no new metal bushings with the new PT kit and the old ones are hard to get out and reuse as they are rusty & corroded most of the time, I have the complete kit fro my PT and have only installed the rear spring isolators & bump stops with my new Mopar Stage 2 coil over suspension system. Your LCA bushings are a great replacement as the factory LCAs don't last very long. You also may want to post this information over at ptcrew.com most of the guys over there do their own work and are very much into performance upgrades. ---------- '05 GT Dream Cruiser Series 4. If you don't have a press for installing the LCA bushings, try using a bike axle or a threaded rod. Using a threaded rod and some washers you can easily press in the new bushings. I'll send/post the new instructions when I'm done and maybe they will be able to help you when you decide to install the rest of your kit. Thanks for the ptcrew.com tip. I have never heard of that site but I will make sure and post over there also. Nate ----------
