Re: [MICKEY41] Eureka Springs Rally Can't Post

I personaly don't know if they are bad, other than they leave alot of little fibers all over the car & if the terry cloth is rough it will leave swirl patterns also. Go onto ptcrew.com it is a free website they have alot of info on detailing. Don't you dare feel bad about your "plain jane" PT. You ought to the plain PT's at the rallies! Some a really "duded" up!!! Look for rallies near by, go & observe to get ideas. Shoot I've been doing small mods for two years! And the list keeps on going!!!Band But most of all ... Enjoy The Ride!!! There is no other!!

I feel sort of intimidated as mine is just plain factory 2005. Will they laugh at me?

(They Might Tongue BUT not your car They/we were all there once) I love mine and hope when I see the fancy ones I do not go crazy. (Its called MOD Fever .. Resistance is Futile ) Mickey

My brother insists on those bath towels. Is that a no-no?

They may have once been the Best.. Now its the Micro-Fiber Towel.. But as in all rags they must be clean and crime free..Any dirt on any cloth/rag acts as sandpaper on your PT's paint. The do not use fabric softer is correct for the Micro-fiber towel .. If you have a Sams Club near by its the Best place to buy them.

Don't use that long brown one like AUCRZR uses, you'll definately end up with alot of swirls!!

Yeah BUT.. I get to slide all over the car while your callllllyfornya Dusting ...ROFL

Re: [Dream3] Eureka Springs Rally Can't Post

I can not thank you enough for answering me. You know I just love my car. I almost cried, seriously I had tears when you said my car would be accepted.
Thank you too AUCRZR- I think your name is DOUG.
CRYSTAL, I see you are from KANSAS and I have given up trying to find a state PT Cruiser Club in Nebraska. I was thinking of joining one in Kansas or Iowa but both are so far away for a meet and greet type thing. Yours is in Wichita I believe. A trip would be different. Do you know if I join, if they send a news letter or something to communicate with people who can not be there all the time?
THANK YOU both for info about the towels. I am glad for once my brother does not know everything. Sometimes it does get old when he lectures me and acts like I am an idiot.
I enjoy this web site so much. You are all so helpful and hilarious. You should do stand-up Doug, maybe you do. Mickey

Re: [Dream3] Eureka Springs Rally Can't Post

THANKS CRYSTAL. I found both items- the California Duster and the Absorber. I think I still need those bath towels for taking dried new wax off. My brother was right as always. Got to love him. I thought those articles from Gary are interesting. Seems I can not learn enough about my car. MICKEY

Re: [MICKEY41] Eureka Springs Rally Can't Post

Don't be discouraged by the distance. The Wichita Area PT Cruisers are a fun bunch, and meet at different places throughout Kansas. Crystal is a member of the Wayfaring Cruisers, here in Oklahoma, and we get together all over the place.

Both clubs have forums to stay in contact and communicate with each other, and you can fit into both clubs without feeling left out.

Plan on coming to the Mid West USA Regional in September if you can. That would let you get acquainted with clubs from all over, and get a good idea as to what the cruiser lifestyle is about.

It's not the car, so don't be concerned as to how plain or fancy your ride is.

Re: [OldSchool] Eureka Springs Rally Can't Post

Ok, I have decided that I will come to this 8th annual Midwest USA Regional one. So I will have to get all the info from here or on your site. I know a few people just by writing on this, so if you see someone lost, it is me. I am not intimidated to come up and say something to you. I know so far, you, Old School, and Crystal, and Doug. I think it is in Bartlesville, OK, which is only 9 hours from here. I am so excited to see all you. I looked at the pictures of last years and looks like fun. Thanks for inviting me.MICKEY

Re: [MICKEY41] Eureka Springs Rally Can't Post

You will have fun, and get to me some of the nicest cruiser folks around. Don't be worried about being "new" on the block, as we will have several first timers there.

Check the event site listed below for updates. I do not post all activities at first. I have done that in the past, and some of the other events began to copy too much.

There will be several hundred new friends waiting for you, and I will introduce you to the Wichita club members.

dave

CheeringThanks Crystal, I have got my list for tomorow! My brother insists on those bath towels. Is that a no-no? He thinks he knows it all. That trip sounded like so much fun- I am so jealous. like old school once said: the PT is the common Dominator. It is the people that make the show. I go to meet up with old Friends and to meet new ones as well. Go to the show, look at the other PT'S meet new friends, have fun. Cheers

Re: [Dream3] Eureka Springs Rally Can't Post

Crystal,
Yes I did email them about my trailer. I didn't ride the bike in the light show because it would have killed me trying to ride all those hills. Had fun any way. Some of us went to a car show in Cherryvale, KS today. We had Mr. PT put on his crown and care his scepter while we was there.
