Extreme test of MOPAR stage II coilover/swaybars

Well I really put the MOPAR stageII coilover/swaybar combo and 18"X8.5 Riken rubber to the test on a series of fast S turns and hard 90's on my favorite back country road. Driven hard I could really feel how detuned the motor is from the factory with the MOPAR CAI and Bypass plate probably adding little more than volume minus the stage I brain while at the same time I definately could feel the untapped potential in the 2.4. Entering a 25mph S at 70 felt as if I was not really pushing it too hard but the coilovers did lower it and I need to trim the bump stops as I could feel it hit them pretty hard on the rough rural asphalt. the one long wide 90 I really laid into it and hit it at ~100 ( a little busy to look at the speedo but know I had slowed from 108-110 in the entering straight)I entered at the far left shoulder and slowly aimed for the apex. The impressive suspension was as tame as a fully set up corolla rwd. the back end was just enough looser than the front to give that "back end out" feeling of control and the slight wheel spin on exit was easily used to aim out of the corner at WOT. Pretty good for right out of the box and on the car with no weight biasing or any suspension adjustments at all.(professional driver on closed course...not) Also DAMN good for a convertable! They did a decent job on the chassis. A few more mods like urethane, camber plates and bigger brakes and a bit of weight tuning will have this PT VERY fast through the twisties, oh yeah and shortening the bump stops a bit PS I can tell ya that engine management is definately gotta give better than 130mph Cause I can see a well done PT running a " safe" 150mph( Can we say Silver State?) But only with a proper suspension/braking system. And whatever else they will want for safety gear by the time I gotta think about it So far the most impressive improvement in handling of any car I have owned ( a lot... ) And I definately recomend it for any car that want to go quick in the twisties. The MOPAR stage II/swaybars can probably take you to the chassis limits(IMHO ~150) with just a couple more mods(urethane, camber plates). With chassis mods who knows what this lil gem can do on a road course Next some hearty plugwires to help with the slight stumble during hard cornering and acceleration and a VAK and 3" exhaust will be good enough until we gets our new brain then we will see.... Unless you go with the full AEM system, you're limited to 128-130. S1 does not remove the limiter due to it being a Mopar product. 06 wiil be no different. I know what you mean about a full suspension upgrade. Hitting the limiter with the stock tires and suspension was hairball. But after a full upgrade, it feels slow. It feels strange to be sitting at 18/19 psi just ramming the limiter and being thrown into the seat belt! ----------

http://www.motec.com/products/kits/m4_kit.htm may be an option to get the most out of the 2.4 and lose the factory limiter. Got quite a list before I get to AEM though Gettin' with maximizing breathing first with plenty of flow to eventualy need the AEM system.A payday trip to the muffler shop(3" S/S mandrel+magnaflow) and a mail order purchase of a decent down pipe and high flow cat followed by a hardpipe frontside is next on the list for me now I damn sure am gonna pick every bodies brain before I blow bucks on the wrong parts Wind ---------- 06 turbo vert. high flow in and out, blow off plate.18"x8.5.on Riken rubber Stage II coil over, f/r anti-sway..... I'm not sure wether or not that system is captible with the PT. Something to inquire about. ----------
