Wow $174 no wonder you wanted mine! I would have just bought the charcoal slush mats, I dont think it cost that much for the front, rear and cargo mats! I am glad to hear you found them though!

Yeah these have the special inscription " Dream Cruiser" I had seen that Moss motors had some cheap ones, but they are not the "specialized" ones. Know what I mean?Wink

Yep that is correct! Last summer when I originally lost the front diver inscripted matt & inquired here at a local Chrysler Dealer, they were 250.00 for the set, now the price has dropped quite a bit! I will not loose another one again!!! So you still have the original set? That is way too cool!Wink

Our cars are loaded with one off(read expensive) parts. I noticed that normal GT's have black center caps in the wheels, ours are blue. When my Blue windshield got smashed by a rock it was 300 for normal green or a GRAND for the blue. Its still broken. Its still worth it when people tell me what a great job I did customizing my car. They have no idea it was bult like that. I actually saw a guy stop in front of my house and take a picture of it.

Re: [tractorfix] Floor Matts Can't Post

I allways wondered if the windshield was different also! I was rinsing the dust off last Saturday and I looked through the winshield with the door open and I realized the darn glass looked blue also! I allways figured it was just the blue from the side glass coming through. How did you find out it was definately different and thus way more expensive? Rich

Hi Rich,

I found this article back when I was trying to find a way to buy your Like New DC3.

http://corporateportal.ppg.com/...vedNews/03_10_21.htm

Keep that beauty in good shape, and keep the mileage down. Smile

I'm still hoping to win the Lottery, and go back into negotiation.

Larry

Re: [loleynik] Floor Matts Can't Post

Larry thanks for that info, that article does not say that the winshield is blue though. Now I am curious if it is? If the weather is nice I am going to check again tomorrow! I was wondering what happened when I didn't hear from you again? I really want someone that will appreciate the DC3 to buy this car, not someone that thinks its just a fancy GT 5 speed.
P.S. 3100 miles to date!

The windshield and front door glass are blue, the rear door glass and backlight are blue deep tint. I thought I would cheap out and put a standard green w/s in it. That was until I held up a piece of green door glass up against it. ICK. I'll get a blue one put in when I can afford it.

Re: [tractorfix] Floor Matts Can't Post

The windshield looked blue last Saturday afternoon, it was a cold but sunny day. I looked through the windshied from outside in with the drivers door open and it looked blue to me. The PPG article only said the doors and rear window were blue and with Chryslers tendancy to cheap out it wouldn't surprise me!

I emailed PPG and they confirmed that they supplied the tints for all the glass including the $1000 windshield!

Re: [Rich W] Floor Matts Can't Post

Lucky dog! One of the two sad things about my DC1 is that it didn't have any mats when I got it a couple of months ago. The mats that it came with originally are no longer available. However, I can get mats of the base model variety.Frown

The other sad thing is the previous owners must have hauled a lot stuff with it cause the back end interior is scratched in many places with a couple of holes worn into the carpet on the back side of the rear seats. I already replaced one of trim pieces-it also had a stain on it.Roll eyes

Re: [sent1] Floor Matts Can't Post

When I drove my car home new it had paper mats over the Dream mats and it was raining but back to my point I parked it in the garage. Within a week I had all the Charcoal rubber mats and removed the originals and saved them. I honestly wasn't even thinking that the originals were expensive or hard to replace just that they would get destroyed and look lousy! As far as the damage in your car sent1 I guess we must remember that allthough these cars are cool and the Dream Cruisers are limitted and exclusive many were just bought to be cool everyday cars. The ones that get totalled or worn out just make the survivers rarer and more valuable! You can allways buy mine LOL! 3200 miles, no wear and tear, all documents, mint mats, allways garaged, etc. etc. I am really surprised no one has really tried to buy mine without trying to steal it, go figure? The plastic trim parts are all taupe in set1's car right only some parts are exclusive try the old junkyard method or classifieds here and on the other PT sites you never know so many people customise these cars you should be able to find the parts!

Re: [Rich W] Floor Matts Can't Post

Oh, something else the original owners did is get rid of the stock wheels and put on some lowsey American Racing alums--not even polished. I swapped with with the ones I put on the '05 I had--Dettata Divines. They are a seven spoke chrome. Looks much better now. Right now I'm limited to just looking due to some medical bills from wife having surgery. Now that she is going to be all better, we will be able to enjoy our PTCs together rather than me having fun with it by myself.
