That was fun! I had a 57' Bel Air in 1966. I could get a gallon of gas, an RC Cola and a pack of smokes and get change back from 1.00! Hi Charlie and thanks for this. My first car was a '53 Chevy and could cruise all night for a buck. I remember when I could go into a local small corner grocery store and buy one cigarette. Boy, I am old but had fun back then! ---------- 2005 ELECTRIC BLUE CLASSIC Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means that you have decided to look beyond the imperfections

I'm a little bit younger than you guys. My first car was a '76 Dodge Aspen wagon... I could get a half tank of gas and a pack of smokes out of a five-dollar bill. Nowadays, that would cost me about 30 bucks

i am glad you enjoyed the music and pictures. It did bring back some long ago memories. My first car was a 1937 Chevy sedan followed by a 1946 Ford coupe with lots of things done to it and at the same time I had a 1940 Ford business coupe, etc., etc. Charlie ----------

Back in 1962 when I was dating my wife ,we used to go to a place called the Chuck Wagon. It was a drive in with seating inside too. and girls wore short skirts and had roller skates. I could get a Open faced steak sandwich fries and a coke for $1.85 each. and Gas for my 60 chevy Impala Coupe was .29cents a gallon. ---------- big jim

I remember those days well, although I was driving a 1946/1940 Fords and the year was 1951 and the drive in was called The Hula Hut in Whittier, CA Charlie ----------
