Future of the PT??? Can't Post

I read on another PT site that the PT Cruiser's future will lead far away from it's current form. It states...
We have now been told that a decision has almost certainly been made on the next generation PT Cruiser: it will be the Chrysler version (JZ49) of the Dodge Crew (JC49), which will also be built in Toluca, using the PT Cruiser name but not carrying over any of the other features. Though this vehicle would have a V6 instead of a four-cylinder, it would also be bigger and heavier, and acceleration would probably be similar. Styling would have no visual references to the current PT Cruiser; Tom Gale and Brian Nesbitt have both moved on.

Is this hogwash? Anyone know what the future holds for our cool rides?
Cheers!Cheers

Chrysler has not announced anything yet. We do not know.

Oh, ok thanks, the statement from the site made it seem like a done deal.

All I can say is: if Chrysler is going to replace the PT with a non-retro, non-'cute', generic crossover like the upcoming Dodge that is showing up in spy shots, they will have done both themselves and their customers a huge disservice. How many more bland, cookie-cutter boxes do we need on the market? Even the General copied the Chrysler - why do Chrysler not see that the market is strong for vehicles that don't look like everything else on the road, as long as they also deliver quality and useability? This, to me, is a no-brainer.
