Georgia Toys for Tots - It's that time again

Darryl is incredibly busy, so I thought I would help out. For those of you near and far that want to help out in a VERY worthy cause.....here's the scoop!! Don't worry about early registration...just show up and bring a toy!!
Nov 4th 2006 (Oakwood,Georgia)
Please mark your calendar for Sat, Nov 4, 7th Annual Santa Cruise-In benefiting Toys for Tots, Haye's Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep, 3113 Frontage Rd, Oakwood GA, 9 am - 3 pm. This will be an open car show. Cost of admission: one NEW, UNWRAPPED toy. If you have forgotten how to find toys, feel free to bring us $15 instead (WE know how to find toys!!) Registration from 9-noon. Awards presented at 2 pm. Classes and awards: PT Cruisers, Tuners, Classics, Motorcycles, and Trucks. Top 5 in each class plus other special awards to be announced. The event registration form can be found at Registration. Free event t-shirts and dash plaques. Let's fill up a few of those Ram Pick-ups and make 'em NEED the hemis to haul the toys!

Thanks, Bev. And it's going to be a beautiful day in Oakwood. Perhaps a bit cool in the morning, but it's supposed to be a very nice day. High around 60, patchy clouds with zero percent chance of wet stuff!! Come on out and have a GREAT time helping the Marines bring Christmas to the kids who need us most! Folks, the Marine Corps Reserve is largely deployed around the world and they really need YOUR help. If you can't come to our show (and just why not?), please help them out in your own way.
MISSION: The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
GOAL: The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a shiny new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.
OBJECTIVES: The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help needy children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation's most valuable natural resources - our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.
