Help buying a PCH Can't Post

PCH-Pacific Coast Highway Edition, I have a chance to buy one for $16,995 and it is a new 2007. I have always loved these cars but I'm weary about this one because it is the last 2007 they have on the lot (Today is Feb 2008). I know it is an Edition to Dream Cruises, but I don't know how many were made and have never bought a new car before, I don't know why this one has not sold, is the price right of is it to high... I'm lost, I need some help, could someone that knows about PCH's help me? Thanks, Kansas Gypsy. my email is: kslepew@cox.net

Re: [ksgypsy] Help buying a PCH Can't Post

I'd say check the car over well for minor defects in the paint and upholstery, and also check to see how well its equipped with options, is it a 5 speed?? that might have detered some buyers.....otherwise is it a turbo? the PCH, I think will be the last "special edition" cruiser that will be offered so its definatly worth buying, and now at the end of the month IS the time to buy if you're going to.
I'd do the checking then offer them MUCH less than the price you quoted, they might go for it to make their sales quota for the month. GOOD LUCK!!!

Re: [P B Cruiser] Help buying a PCH Can't Post

Thanks so much for your help!! I've only seen the car on a page ad and I'm going to see it today (its in another town). I'll ask about the tranny kind as I don't know if its a auto or manuel, heck I don't even know what the engine is. Does the PCH come optioned out or is it a..cheap knock off with a badge?

Re: [ksgypsy] Help buying a PCH Can't Post

The PCH edition is a member of the "Street Cruiser" lineup that came after the "Dream Cruiser" lineup, they are all Automatic trans, non turbo, but have nice options, the Street Cruiser editions were not numbered as the Dream Cruisers were, the '07 PCH edition is in between the '06 Rt.66 edition and the '08 Sunset Blvd Edition, all three are very nice cars that stick out from the crowd.Smile

Do not be afraid of buying the last one, or one that sat at the dealer for a long time, I bought my '05 DC4 after it sat on the dealer lot for 11 months, the price was right, and I have no regrets about buying a "leftover".Smile

KS, Don't let that discourage you!!! Deceide what you want in,(and out) of a PT Cruiser and go from there ie: Special model, Turbocharged engine, trans type, options, color, ect, there are plenty of PTs out there its just a matter of what you want, please keep us informed!

CoolThere are many Turbo's available on the used car market to be had.If you require the GT high output turbo model you will have to buy used but you could also go for a Limited Edition 07 model and do a Stage 1 upgrade increasing the output of the turbocharger.Make a list of the must haves that you need and go shopping both online and in person. You will find the PT of your dreams.God Bless........Mike

Cheering Hi Kansas, Good Luck in finding your PTC. Took me over 60 years to find my dream car and really nothing special until I put my personality into it. I never have loved a car before but this car has brought me more joy and such great friends. You have made a good start by being on this forum. Members are so helpful with any question you will ever have concerning your PTC. Keep posting.
By the way, I just moved to the Phoenix area recently from Hastings, Ne, my hometown - we were neighbors. Mickey Wave
