Hi PT Friends, 
Bakersfield is "gearing up" once again for the 5th Annual Highway 99 Cruise & Show Car Show October 13, 14, and 15th, 2006. We will have a few new changes this year we hope will make it even better, especially for our PT friends. We will still have the Friday Night Cruise along Chester Avenue in Bakersfield that has been so popular with BigFoot, Shocker, and AA Dragsters. However, this year the show will be held at the Kern County Fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday. This means there will be more grass, trees, and a special area set aside for PTS, so you don't have to come in together. We will be near Gate 26, which is near the car show entry gate. It will be called the Bakersfield PTs Corral. You will be able to bring your motor home, 5th wheels, trailers, campers, or even camp out. (Of course there is a charge - $70.00 for RVs etc. for Fri. and Sat. nights and $40.00 for campers for the two nights) We will have two motor homes there from the club - Mary Jo Thompson and her husband have agreed to bring their 40' motor home and Grant and his wife will rent a 30' motor home. There will be all kinds of games with prizes. You can also bring your "easy-ups" or any other diplays you may want to bring. It will be a patriotic theme.  Rather than have merchant trophies, we will have 3 smaller tropies per category. We hope to have 3 fly overs, and hopefully lots of other surprises!!!
