Hi All, I'm Mike and I finally got mine. An 03 almond base model with only 38000 original miles that I fell for. I'm actually a (gasp) used car salesman and can drive any demo I want from an Aveo to a GMC Denali but I fell in love with this little Cruiser. I have to admit that your forum had a lot to do with my decision. After one week of driving it around town I just had to learn more and found you guys. Now I just have to find an extra 35.00 to be all official with the club. Hope to get some mods going and possibly meet some of you some day. I've just been lurking till now but you have no idea how helpful you've all been in this decision. Thanks for all the great posts and research.

Congratulations and welcome to the club! I don't think you'll be disappointed. I know what you mean about how these cars just capture you. I'm 23 years old and traded in a 97 Pontiac Firebird for mine!
Is that "Almond" or "Cool Vanilla"?

Already talking to the wife about the Alabama event. Mapquest says it's only about 5 and a half hours from here.

congrats on your new purchase!! as you posted this is a very informative and fun forum. you will notice over time that this is a very fun brother/sisterhood. my first event attended was alabama last year and it really worth the time and effort to meet the rest of the cruisers.
i am in portland tn and will be going again this year so if you decide to go to alabama maybe we could cruise there together.am planning on starting on friday(april 4) around 9 in the morning. hope to hear you plan on joining us.

 Congratulations on your Cruiser and finding this club. Have fun at the Alabama event. I agree this is forum is great. Welcome to the club from Florida. I have been a member for a very, very, long time, lol. We also have a very big event in Mrytle Beach, SC in Oct. Last year there were close to 200 PTs there. All the events I have been to have been lots of fun and each is unique in their own way. Enjoy the ride and keep on cruisin'

Gertlan,
You have done a lot of work on your black beauty and it shows. Are you able to get most of the parts you have put on your car in Europe? I found it interesting the one picture of the other Cruiser with four head lights. I have never seen that before.

Hi Charlie, no, the most parts come from The States!!
I think you mean this Cruiser with the 4 head lights:
That is from a friend of mine and he had it made like this but changed it in the mean time!

I thought you were nine hours ahead of us here in Southern California. My wife and I passed through your lovely country one September day many years ago on our way to cruise the Rhine (sp). We were there long enough to tour Amsterdam.

Me, my wife and then unborne son (he is 15 now) where in The states and visited Nashville and ofcourse the hometown of Elvis, Memphis. We had a great time!! We were there because we all are big fans of countrymusic
