Ignition switch relocte Can't Post

Got to thinking.... does anyone know if it is possible to relocate the ignition switch in my 04 from the column to the dash? Steering wheel does not seem to lock with the key out..... Jump 2

It should lock with the key out. Probably need to turn it more. Some folks have opted for a push button start.
