Kruzr-Shiftr

Howdy all! I've been bitten by the mod bug already! I love my new 2002 Dream Cruiser, but there's one thing that I think it's just screaming to have...a new shifter. I decided to order the Kruzr-Shiftr, and I'm leaning heavily towards getting an 8-ball knob for it. What I'd really like is one that matches the Inca Gold paint, but I can't seem to find one that's even close. Any suggestions? ----------

Yeah, I've searched about everywhere, and I can't find anything. I may end up just going with an 8-ball or trying to find something that matches other colors in the interior. ----------

Mine is an automatic. However, the Kruzr-Shiftr changes the configuration of the way the push button works, so any shift knob that accepts a 3/8 x 16 thread will work. I thought about getting a #1 ball, but when I actually took one out to the car, the color was way off. I like the idea of an 8 ball, just for the hotrod factor. I've seen several that I like, unfortunately, they're $80+. Guess I have expensive tastes. ----------

THANKS JOEL, I love that blue one of course. So something else for my growing want list. I just got some rubber floor mats today because it is so muddy here and I have those factory carpet mats. I wanted PT ones of course but maybe in the future. I saw your PT Cruiser pictures. Very nice. I love all the blue cars. Yours looks like it has green in it. Thanks Mickey! Yes I painted the center dash panel myself. It actually wasn't that tough if a job, the hardest part was masking everything off. If there is any green in the paint color it is just a reflection from something in the background... ---------- Joel

Hi Joel, that was my mistake, my computer monitors color is way off. My son in law tried to correct it but I show colors that are different than they are on others. I should go get another one or remember that. It is a huge monitor and I bet they don't make this old antique anymore. Sorry about that. It still was very nice, no matter what color it is, MICKEY ---------- 2005 ELECTRIC BLUE CLASSIC Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. Update... I contacted Kustom Kruzr directly, because I wanted to make absolutely sure it would fit my 02 DC1 and to ask if they had any 8-ball combo kits in stock. I was told they were in the process of moving, and the Kruzr-Shiftrs had already been packed away, but that I could still order it from a few other vendors online. Dave then said he'd dig through the boxes and see if he could locate a shift knob for me. A few days pass, and my Kruzr-Shiftr arrived in the mail. I went to Auto Zone and purchased a generic chrome and black knob to get me by in the meantime. Unfortunately, the set screws on the knob marred the finish on the shaft, pretty much ruining my option of putting any other knob on it. Dave emailed me again, offering up an 8-ball knob he had located. When I explained that I was going to order another Kruzr-Shiftr because the one I had was now scratched up from the temporary knob set screws, he said he'd include another shifter free of charge! So here I am, singing the praises of Kustom Kruzr! These kinds of business practices are so rare these days, it's great to see that there are still people around who put the customer first. Way to go Dave! ----------
