Lesson Learned Can't Post

Ok, I have to tell you about my being stuck on stupid yesterday. It was a very normal day.... went to the gym, came home, washed the PT. Easy, right??? It was going pretty good til I finished washing the PT and was going to dry her off. Did you know you should NEVER wash the cloth ragtop with a white fuzzy mitt? OMG, it was covered with white fuzzies! Frown It took another hour with a lint brush to get it clean! So now the big question.... I know what NOT to use on the ragtop.... but what do you use to clean the cloth top?

Becky

We use a chamois. We bought the Mr Clean AutoDry Car Wash and used the mit inside - then we used the lint brush. The second wash, we started using the chamois. That seemed to work fine.

I have a question for you MissB. How do you get birds to stop pooping on your car within 2 or 3 hours of washing? Find a fix for that and you'll be a millionaire! Smile

Well, when she's at home she's in the garage! But when I'm out and about I try to stay away from trees and power lines where the birds tend to hang out. I've been lucky so far not having to contend with bird poop but then again I've only had her a week. I do use the boot to cover the top when it's down to avoid having to clean bird poop off the interior of the ragtop.... just in case!

Mount a 5' wide roll of Saranwrap under the front bumper. After washing, roll out just enough to stretch over and back to the rear bumper. Ta Da! Jump 2

WaveWe have had the same fuzzy issue. Went and got one of those sticky lint removing rollers. Works slick!Cleans off the fuzzys in a couple mins.
The product I have been clued to use on our tops is called Ragg Topp. There is a cleaner and a protectant. Supposed to be the only product the top maker recommends. Available from several places on line.
Have Fun!!
