My fist wax job - Pictures

Hi all, Today I waxed a car for the first time in my life. I know, it is a little embarrassing, but I just never felt the motivation before. But, this cute little Cruiser has moved me in a way that I never expected. Well, I guess that part of the motivation came from what I learned from you all on this forum. That is why I thought I would share with you the fruits of all this. I still have not done any mods on it, but I think the car is already beautiful as it is. I hope you like them. :)

beautiful!! looks like the bug will get you soon! someone started the mods with the front grill,so now you know have to carry on the (in)sanity. i have always thought black is the most beautiful color on cars but a big p.i.t.a. to keep it looking that way.wishing you fun and fortune in our escape from normality.it is a fun journey. ron ---------- When people see a cat's litter box, they always ask, 'Oh, have you got a cat?' Now that is what I would call a Black Beauty!!!!! I don't think there is a nicer looking color when it is kept up like tour beauty is. Black is a little more work to maintain but well worth it. I had a black 1945 Ford coupe when I was in high school back in 1950. Back then the paints and polish were not as good as now days and it was an all day job to polish them. Keep up the good work and we will help you with the enthusiasm. Charlie ----------

Ah-h-h-h - how nice! Almost makes me wish I went for another black car, but I just traded in one on my silver steel convertible. But of course I have a black top! Stock or modified, the PT is good looking in all flavors. If I see an exceptionally nice looking black 5 door here in the Nutmeg State I'll give you a wave! Thanks for sharing your photos. ---------- 2008 PT Cruiser Conv 5-sp

If I'm not mistaken, that's a base model, like mine. Oddly enough, the base model comes with the chrome grill. I've had a couple of people with limiteds and GTs ask me where I got mine when I'm out and about. If someone can tell me it's easy to get the grille off my '06, I can pop it off and get a part number to post. Might be one of those rare MOPAR parts that doesn't cost your other leg... ----------
